Karen, still in her human form, was hunched over a body, obviously eating away at the body, while he groaned in pain. It was Elijah.
"Karen?" Dr. Gilbert called out and she looked up maliciously and growled at him to keep away.
Dr. Gilbert quickly pressed the alarm bell on the door and he shut the door back, quickly. Trapping him together with Karen.
Karen yelped and pranced away from Elijah as she stared hard at Dr. Gilbert. She was on all fours.
"What have you done, Karen?" He sobbed as he stared at the mess on the floor.
There was blood everywhere and the whole room was a mess. Lying on the floor in a pool of his own blood was Elijah, with his chest heaving slightly.
"Thank the moon goddess, he's not dead." Dr. Gilbert muttered to himself but he also knew he could not get close to Elijah without sending Karen off to get him, so he raised his hands and looked her in the eye.
