Agatha gave Mark a disapproving look, then she turned and faced the young boy.
"What's your name?"
"Elijah." He replied timidly and Agatha smiled widely at him.
"There's a river downstream. Go there and wash up. We'll be here waiting for you."
Elijah smiled at her in gratitude, then scowled at Mark before going to where she had directed.
"What did you do that for? You don't even know him." Mark stated exasperatedly.
"I never knew you also." She gave him a stare. "We also just met and you didn't hold me in animosity." Agatha said, hands akimbo.
Mark was speechless, "Well, you're different." He said to himself as he moved to sit at a corner.
Not long after that, Elijah came back.
"Hey Agatha, look what I found." He ran towards Agatha. She turned around and her mouth was left open at the sight before her.
