Chereads / DESTINED TO THEM / Chapter 13 - CHAPTER THIRTEEN

Chapter 13 - CHAPTER THIRTEEN

Felix felt afloat, almost weightless. Maybe the others were weighing him down, or was it him weighing them down. Either way, he felt better being free.

Ella had a day or two before she could really connect with him. That means he has a day or two to do what he wants without being questioned.

After his meetings with the other pack alphas, he went to the pub and got cubs with other ladies, until he passed out.

He woke before midnight, he felt hot but cold, almost feverish. He sat back and tried not to sleep or close his eyes, 'cause all he sees is Ella. Reminds him of mate, yes! She is his mate so what, that doesn't mean she can taunt him.

The pattern repeated itself for a couple of days. He works hard during the day and spends his night with the girls. He felt better, in charge again.

He lost track of time. The more he thought of the nights to come after the day, he drew in the day's work with the ache of the night's pleasure.

...…..

"Come on, make haste." Salvador said as they packed. They helped them pack this time, no. He helped Harvey pack. His gaze traveled and met Ella, laying sickly on the couch waiting for them to leave.

She had been like that for the past week. Every single night. Whatever the offense was, Felix had no rights to do that to her. At least the first two days were an exception, but the remaining nights were not. He overdosed. He went overboard this time.

They had fun days, yes! But those were during the day time, during the nights…. When they were done, they came to where Ella laid.

"Are you ready for us?" Harvey asked her.

"That's wrong, Harvey?" Salvador said.

"What is?" Harvey asked.

"Are you ready for the trip? Not us, trip." Salvador corrected and got a chuckle from Ella.

"Any one is okay by me. We're not in an English class to care. I'm ready and sorry for letting you pack on your own." She apologized.

"It's no big deal, though the clothes are not neatly folded as you'd have, but they can manage." Harvey admitted.

"I'll have them ironed out and neatly folded, once we get home." She said with a smile.

"Can you manage holding on for as long as ten hours, honey?" Salvador asked, having in mind, how she kept changing infrequently.

"I think I can, I'll try." She answered.

"Alright, I'll work with that. Just let me know when you can't anymore. We're here for you." Harvey said as they walked out of the house.

Ella really wished she could stay back and enjoy the mountains, but she couldn't because of Felix. She wanted to rest well, she hadn't done so ever since the second night they got here. Though the boys tried enough to let her sleep during the night, sometimes joined her and stayed beside her during the nights.

For the past week, they have adopted the habit of sleeping during the day and staying awake during the night. Though Ella had begun to get used to the aches and fever, still that's no excuse. This is the pure definition of unfaithfulness without hiding. He'd hide, but she doesn't need to find him. Somehow, he always materialized in front of her. Through thoughts, feelings or aches.

The ride was long but worth it. They chatted and dined all through the flight. They got back to the house and found it empty. They had decided to return early to give Felix a surprise return. They cooked and dished it in the flasks and switched off the lights, the same way they had met the lights when they returned.

...

Felix got tired of working and decided to make a quick stop at the pub before he returned back home. He got a round or five before he hit the road and reached home. He was welcomed by Melanie, he tried to push her away and managed to get the house. At the parlor, he couldn't push her away anymore. Right there, they made out on the couch.

…..

When they heard a car's engine stop outside, they got ready to surprise him. But when the car door opened, they heard voices. When the door finally opened, Felix and a lady entered the house. Right in front of them, they made out.

Salvador almost got to them, but thank God to Ella's super fast reflexes, caught him and kept him with her. She hugged him and tried to be quiet. She swallowed the pain and ache persisted. But most especially, she tried not to think.

When they were done, they laid for a minute or two. Melanie got up and got dressed.

Ella can't hear anything they were saying, not a single word. Her eyes were on them, but their voices were far away muted, for her to hear.

"See you tomorrow." She finally heard Melanie say as she left.

"Yeah, see you." Felix replied as he watched the door closed behind her.

The best was to go upfront and talk to him, question him and all, but she didn't have the strength for that. At least, today's gone. She can sleep very well without having aches.

Felix's attention grew to the stairs, when he heard steps. He got alarmed and sneaked up to the person. To his chagrin, it was Ella, his innocent wife and mate.

"Mate!" Was all he could say to her.

The look on her face was a weary one. A tired one. Hadn't she slept well with them, Salvador and Felix are going to hear from him.

"You look nice." Ella said to him, bringing back his attention to her.

"Oh thanks. Where are the others?" He asked, looking around almost furious.

"They are at the back. I wanted to get some blankets and sheets for us outside. Welcome home, I've missed you." She said. Even though she was smiling, her heart was torn into bits of pieces. He wasn't even worried that she might have seen them a minute ago, he couldn't even explain himself. He couldn't even ask her why she looked the way she did. She guesses she never matters to him, not one bit.

"Okay, I'll make you guys something to eat." He said as he walked to the kitchen.

"Never mind, Salvador and Harvey had already cooked." She said as he got to an abrupt halt and looked back at her.

"Oh, okay. Then I'll be outside with the guys, hurry up." He said as he sent her upstairs.

She nodded and went upstairs and got what she'd mentioned. She didn't waste time in the room as if being chased, she didn't want to cry, at least not today. She hurried and came outside to where they were.

The other pretended as if they didn't know anything. As if they hadn't seen anything. They welcomed him as a family should after being away for a week or so.

They sat outside for an hour chatting as they drank. They returned back into the house and went to sleep. Felix wasn't allowed to touch Ella because he had two days left for his two weeks punishment.

But he didn't bother, he only nodded and slept behind Harvey.

The next day, they ate breakfast and they left for work. She had all the time she wanted during the day to think of what she wanted.

Harvey and Salvador returned back very early. They were worried for her.

"What do you want to do?" Harvey asked. "I want to punch him right in the face. But I can't, you have to make the choice first. What do you want to do about Felix? Or rather, what do you want us to do about him?"

"Nothing, just keep being you. I'll be fine as long as I have the two of you. I can't be jealous because he's sleeping with other ladies. I can't stoop that low, I have the two of you to toy around with, or is it the other way round." She laughed.

"In a situation like this, you still have humor to spend. You, I need some of your strength." Salvador said as he hugged her.

"Tell me what you had in mind for Felix. If I had given you the chance to do what you wanted with Felix, what would you do?" She asked Salvador.

"Beat him to a pulp and lock him up in the basement with no food for a month." Salvador replied.

Sliding her head to one side, she looked at him, "But?"

"But I care more of what you want than what I want. You are the one being hurt all over, repeatedly. I think I have to meet him, how can I make an appointment to meet him?" Salvador asked.

"Meet who and what appointment?" She asked back confused.

"Your religion. The one you always talk to." He replied.

"Not my religion, I serve the living God and his everything and my strength at the moment. About the reservation, you can do that by asking for forgiveness and then talk to him." She answered.

"The same way you're still talking to Felix even after he'd hurt you." He pointed.

"Well, not everything I asked for I got. My father has his time for everything, his time I must wait for." She said.

"Your father, the king?" Salvador asked.

"No, God." She replied.

"Okay." He nodded.
