Lucky stood by the stairs for a long time, looking up with a puzzled gaze. She still couldn't decide whether she should go up or not.
"What's wrong with you, Lucky? There are no ghosts or spirits in this world. It's all just in our mind. Something is definitely wrong up there." And finally, she tiptoed her way upstairs. As she ascended, the sound of sobbing grew louder.
"Who's there??" Suddenly, Lucky asked in a slightly louder voice, and the next moment, silence prevailed. Lucky had now reached the upper floor. There was only one room there, with a large lock hanging on the door. The room had a large window too. Through the window glasses she was able to get a hazy glimpse inside that room. But Due to all the windows and doors being closed, there was very little light inside.
"Who's there?" Lucky asked, trying to look inside through the window. Suddenly, out of nowhere, a girl appeared right in front of her on the other side of the window. In a panic, a faint scream escaped Lucky's mouth.
"Go... get out of here. Otherwise, he will kill you ..." she said frantically, trying to open the window. Her condition seemed strange. Her clothes were disheveled, and her hair was wildly scattered. It was unknown how long she had been locked inside. Her face had turned pale, and dark circles were visible around her eyes. She didn't seem to be in her senses.
"Who? Who are you talking about? Tell me, I'll help you." Lucky tried to calm her, but now terror was clearly visible on her face.
"He... he..." she pointed somewhere behind Lucky with a trembling finger. Lucky was startled for a moment. But then she quickly turned to look behind and her heart skipped a bit. KK was standing right behind her, glaring at her with angry eyes. Before she could say anything, KK grabbed her hand and started dragging her down the stairs. When they reached Down in the hall, he almost pushed Lucky away. After stumbling a few steps, she stopped in the middle of the hall.
"Who is that girl? And why have you locked her in the room?"
"How dare you step inside my house without my permission?" Instead of answering her question KK asked in an angry tone.
"That wasn't an answer to my question. Tell me the truth, or I'll have to inform the police."
KK glared at her for a few moments and then suddenly burst into laughter.
"Now a thief will threaten me with the police? Amazing..."
In an instant, the color drained out from Lucky's face. Seeing her surprised look, a crooked smile spread across KK's lips.
"What did you think? That I wouldn't find out about you? I was suspicious about your identity from the very first day when you met me. Last evening when I saw Mrs. Sharma's gold ring in your hands my suspicion turned into certainty. You probably don't know, but that was her wedding ring. Only a professional thief could plan such a thievery. You did it right under her nose and she didn't even know it... I am really impressed."
Lucky stood still silently watching him. KK approached her and said, "What did you think? That you came here of your own will? No baby... you're here because I wanted it. The lock you opened to enter this house was specially designed. Not everyone can open it. But look, you opened it quite easily. I can hand you over to the police for this crime."
Lucky now looked up at KK, whose face bore a victorious smile.
"I must admit... everything happened according to your plan. But my meeting with your wife... I don't think that was part of your plan."
Seeing KK's surprised look, Lucky laughed.
"Why? Did you think I wouldn't find out? The girl in the room upstairs is your wife Shruti. You spread the rumor very cleanly that your wife had committed suicide, while in reality, you had locked her in your own house. And all this for what? Just for ten crores? After Shruti's death, you received ten crores from the insurance company as compensation. Am I right, Mr. Kavya Khurana?"
"How do you know all this? Who are you?" KK looked at her with devouring eyes.
In response, Lucky showed him her phone.
"How dare you... You hacked my personal data?" He clenched his fists in anger.
"You just said I'm a thief. Well, a thief can steal anything, whether it's money or information," Lucky retorted with a smirk, and winked on him.
"So Mr KK you have my secret and I have yours. Now we're even. I won't tell anyone about today's matter until you blurt out my secrets."
Are you trying to overpower me? Even if you want to tell it, no one is going to believe you." KK scoffed in a grimmed tone.
"I have proof."
"Oh really? Well That could be disappear at any time." A venomous smile spread across his lips. He was a very cunning person for sure. Lucky sighed in defeat.
"What do you want?" she asked, folding her arms.
"That's what I like about you. You always come to the point without wasting any time. Okay, I'll give it to you straight. You have to steal something for me."
"And what's that?" Lucky raised her eyebrows.
"A blue file... You've heard of Yashraj Singh Tomar, the famous hotelier from Jaipur, right? You need to go to his mansion and bring me that blue file."
"So you created all this fuss over a single file? And I was thinking like it will be a dangerous mission of my life. Well, I'll get that file easily." Lucky flipped her hair with a light chuckle.
"Dont be so hasty. It's not that easy to get the blue file. Tomars villa has very tight security everywhere. Not even a bird can flap its wings there. But I have a way through that you can easily get inside Tomars villa."
"And what's that?"
"Yashraj Singh Tomar has a son, kunwar Virat singh tomar. He has a friend name Rajshree. In a couple of days she will come to meet him in his palace. You will have to enter the palace disguised as Rajshri.Thats the only way you can easily go to Tomars villa and get the file."
"What a childish plan. You think I'll stand in front of him with my clear big face and he won't recognize me?" Lucky said, annoyed.
"No. Rajshree was separated from Virat in an accident when they were children. Since than no one has seen Rajshree. Don't worry no one will suspect you."
Lucky's mind started racing. The situation was much more complicated than she had thought. What is in that file that KK is so eager to get it? He made really dangerous plan for it.
"Okay... but how will I get there?"
"Leave that to me. My men will take you inside the mansion as Rajshree. You have to gain Virat's trust and than steal the file from his safe when you get the chance."
"And what if I get caught?"
"There's no room for mistakes in this job," KK warned her.
"Okay... but don't you think this job is a bit too risky... so..."
"So you'll get two crores for doing this job." KK cut her off, and Lucky's eyes widened in surprise. Two crores just to steal a file?
"If you don't have any problem with this than I would consider it as a deal between us."
"For two crores, I could steal someone's life for you. A file is a small thing for me." Lucky replied with a smile, and finally KK was satisfied with her response.
