Chapter 124 - Mutation Blackberry Vine

Almor was not only unafraid but also scratched her small chin before calling out a mascot. His tone was filled with a smile as he continued speaking.

"My fiery dragon is constantly pursued by thunderstorm clouds." "Do you think I am not quite unfortunate?"

Upon hearing his story, one could not help but feel that he was truly unlucky to the core.

Ruan Shu did not dwell on the teasing but instead gave him a sympathetic glance.

"However, today can be considered quite fortunate, as we quickly found a decent cave."

Ruan Shu only nibbled on a small portion of the prey, as the rest was consumed by Almor.

"You have eaten so much, yet you have eaten so little." "I will have to feed you more in the future."

To fatten you up a bit.

Ruan Shu held the blackberry fruits but found herself unable to eat any more. She gently asked, "Can I take these back to share with my father and brother?"

There were still four fruits left.

Almor clapped his hands and set fire to the bones of the prey. "There is no need to be so frugal; let us plunder the mutated plants."

Ruan Shu tugged at his clothes, hesitantly asking, "But can we do so without harming the mutated plants?" "They have not harmed me; it was just my own cowardice that caused me to be frightened."

Almor raised an eyebrow slightly and said, "Alright, do as you wish."

Ruan Shu blushed.

The rain outside finally ceased, and the golden sun pierced through the clouds, illuminating the surroundings. Ruan Shu was about to step outside when she was lifted up.

Almor earnestly advised, "It is damp outside; do not wet your shoes."

Ruan Shu hesitated, "But you…"

"I am much taller than you." "What should I fear?"

Ruan Shu silently hugged her knees, thinking, "Well, it's not like she asked to be carried by him."

Accompanied by his little mascot, Almor quickly found the territory of the mutated plant.

As soon as they stepped in, the vines on the trees and ground entwined like small snakes, ready to strangle them.

The overwhelming sight made one's scalp tingle, causing Ruan Shu to grasp his clothes tightly.

"Do not be afraid."

Almor spoke softly as he raised his hand, conjuring a cluster of golden flames that distorted the surrounding air with their intense heat.

Feeling a bit scared, Ruan Shu inched closer to him.

Some of the vines that approached were reduced to ashes, causing them to shrink back in fear, but soon countless more vines followed suit.

This time, the threat was even more intense than the previous one, as some deeper-hued purplish vines seemed unaffected by the fire.

Almor, however, seemed unfazed by them. He suddenly unfurled a pair of massive black dragon wings behind him, stirring up dust and stones with a gentle movement, prompting Ruan Shu to involuntarily close her eyes. When she reopened her eyes, they were already in the sky.

The vines continued to pursue them, twisting into a conical shape as they surged towards the group.

Almor held Ruan Shu, forming a fireball in his hand.

Ruan Shu looked at his long fingers and noticed that his nails, once tidy and clean, had now grown into sharp, black claws.
