Chereads / Star Meow Meow / Chapter 19 - My Big Daddy!

Chapter 19 - My Big Daddy!

When I entered first grade, I started going to and from school by myself.

Every time I saw other children being picked up by their parents or their parents bringing umbrellas on rainy days, I couldn't help but feel envious. I would quietly wait for the rain to stop before going home.

I remember most clearly in second grade, after a very long and heavy rain, all the other students had left, leaving me alone in the cold and quiet classroom.

Later, the teacher called my parents, and after some reluctance, my mother came to pick me up.

Initially, I was happy that my mother came to get me, but on the way home, I listened to her complaints the whole time.

Even though I was still young at the time, those words were deeply etched in my heart, and I can still vividly recall them.

"I always worry about you going to school alone with just an umbrella." Your mother is already very busy with work. Can't you be more obedient?

I wanted to say that I was already very obedient, but I didn't dare, afraid that my mother would say I was stubborn and disobedient, not a good child.

So, from then on, I developed the habit of bringing my own umbrella to school.

Lost in thought, I nuzzled my head more affectionately into my father's hand.

I never expected to come back to life after dying. Even though I still don't like my mother, I have my father.

I'm not greedy; I'm just content with having someone who likes me.

"What's wrong?"

The little cat suddenly seemed a bit emotional. Even though she was small, I could still sense her sensitivity, so I spoke in a softer voice.

Honestly, who could remain hard-hearted in the face of such a small cat, except for the woman who only saw her daughter as a tool for money and power.

"Meow"~"

The little kitten softly wanted to say that she was fine.

Even though I was at home, I still had to deal with work matters.

In the study on the third floor, I sat in my chair and dealt with the documents.

My study, like myself, was rigorous and solemn, with books and documents neatly arranged.

However, in the somber and serious study, a bright and colorful spot appeared.

Not far from the owner's desk, a soft and fluffy cat bed was placed on the small coffee table.

The entire body of the cat nestled comfortably into the bed, stretching out its little paws and yawning.

She looked in my direction with her blue, watery eyes, then contentedly watched her own cartoon.

The cat was also wearing headphones on her ears so she could hear the sound without disturbing my work. Perfect!

She thought carefully and obediently did not disturb me.

But…

She forgot that cats love to sleep, especially in a comfortable environment, and sleep comes easily.

After watching the cartoon for a short while, her eyelids drooped.

The snow-white cat struggled a few times, but her little head fell onto the soft cat bed with a thud, and her white whiskers trembled as she fell asleep.

This cat bed is so comfortable.

The butler, who brought milk, asked, "What can I do for you?""?"?"

The young girl was in this state; did she still want to watch the cartoon?

In the end, he chose to turn off the light and rolled the wheelchair to her bedroom to get a small blanket to cover the cat.

He was very diligent and responsible.

I finished my work for the time being and turned to see the little cat curled up into a snow-white ball, sleeping soundly.

I walked over and took a look.

The cat bed was custom-made, perfectly fitting the current size of the little cat's body.

Even in her star beast form, she still appeared quiet and obedient.

Even when she was asleep, her four little paws were curled up together, and her tail was tucked under her head, peacefully rising and falling with her breath, making her look very cute.

I couldn't help but stare at the little cat's soft, fluffy belly for a few more moments.

When she was lying on my hand earlier, her soft belly felt very gentle, yet particularly fragile.

This small creature, lacking attack power, could be easily killed by any weak star beast.

I thought, "Maybe I should assign someone to protect her at all times."

I've never been so worried as a marshal.

I pinched my nose and left the study.

I slept very soundly, without any nightmares. When I woke up, I felt lazy and disoriented.

My big, blue eyes looked around, and I let out a soft meow.

Where's my dad? I have such a big daddy!

Not seeing my dad, the little cat became anxious and jumped out of the cat bed, her fluffy tail raised in distress.

She wanted to find her dad.

Just as she reached the door of the study, it opened, and a person with very long legs walked in.

The little cat's head bumped into him, and the impact made him feel a bit dizzy.

When Ruan Xiao saw his daughter bumping into him, he reacted with confusion, "..."

He bent down and picked up the snow-white little bundle, easily holding her in one hand.

"What's all the fuss about?"

His deep voice, unique to a father, resonated in her ears, causing the cat's ears to twitch at the slightly loud sound.

"Meow"~"

But finding her dad was all that mattered, so the little cat nuzzled into his hand, her pink paw pads stepping lightly.

"Meow..."

She was afraid of losing her dad, who was such a good father.

"I brought some snacks from the kitchen for you."

The butler, holding a glass of milk, said, "..."

You're lying, sir. These were specially made for the young lady by the kitchen!

He was a bit frustrated. Why couldn't the marshal take credit and let the young lady know how good he was to her? By doing so, their father-daughter relationship could be further enhanced!

Ruan Xiao looked at the pastries in his father's hand, emitting a milky fragrance, while her beautiful big eyes looked at him expectantly.

She obediently lay in her father's hand and let out a soft meow.

"Go ahead and eat."

As he placed the food on the table, he also gently set the little cat down from his hand.

The fur on the ragdoll cat was so soft that he didn't dare to use too much force.

"Meow."

Ruan Xiao looked at the fried milk balls and the milk-white cloud cake on the plate, and used her little paw to push them towards her father.

"Meow," she said, asking her dad for something to eat.

Ruan Xiao refused, "I'm not eating."

Ruan Xiao tilted her fluffy little head and let out a soft, childish meow.

Was her dad really not going to eat?

Ruan Xiao seemed to understand, "Not eating."

He wouldn't eat something only children eat.

The little cat let out a meow, her voice full of sweetness.

Wasn't Dad really going to eat?

Ruan Xiao seemed to understand, "Not eating."
