What is elegance?
And what is beauty?
If you asked any person in the Galactic Federation this question, they would have one answer for you;
Planet Carsanis, the Capital of the Galactic Federation and the location of the Galactic council's headquarters!
The planet was an epitome of perfection, having the most sophisticated galactic technology but still maintaining the beauty of nature.
Not anyone could be allowed onto Carsanis, the dream destination of many in the galaxy.
The buildings there were made of the finest marble, inlaid with gold and carsium, an extremely beautiful metal native to Carsanis!
But even in Carsanis, there were levels to the grandeur and majesty of the buildings.
The headquarters of the Council, the Galodron, took the first rank.
Spanning hundreds of kilometers in length and made with the finest materials, milky pearls, and various treasures, it was a magnificent edifice.
In the Galodron, five people reclined on comfortable couches, sipping fine wine as beautiful maids groomed them.
They were the councilors!
Dressed in exquisite golden robes, they chatted idly.
'How long do you reckon Gaia would last?' asked one of the five councilors.
He was tall and bald, having an exquisite but mysterious mark on his forehead which glowed a radiant red and looked like a hexagram.
'The implosion of that planet is not far away. I've already ordered the retreat of the Imperial Fleet.
Gaia will soon be history,' chuckled another man.
Built like a bull with a thick mane of white hair, he openly ogled the maids massaging him.
'Such a pity. If only that Zhang fellow had given us the core component of his genetic serum, things wouldn't have come to this,' sighed one of the men hypocritically.
He was insanely thin and had sharp eyes which glinted off the golden ceiling of the Galodron.
Boreas, the councilor built like a bull with a white mane chuckled. 'You're devious, Stafyllidis. I didn't expect your spatial disruptor to work so well.
Besides, it's not like we really need that core component anymore.'
Stafyllidis, the skinny councilor waved his hand like he was swatting a fly, his haughty eyes squinted in a devious smile. 'It's nothing. What we should be focused on is how to mine that resource from Gaelen-II.'
At the mention of that, the five became incomparably serious.
Gaelen-II was a crucial part of their future plans to power.
If it all worked out, they would advance by leaps and bounds, further cementing their iron grip on the galaxy!
As councilors, though they wielded enormous power, it wasn't enough.
Powerful nations had a say in the Galactic parliament and they couldn't afford to offend them too much.
But with what they had found on Gaelen-II, they wouldn't have to give face to any of those nations very soon!
In the Galactic Federation, with the help of various experiments and tests, genetic serums had been created which allowed people to exceed their physical peak!
By taking the serums, it was guaranteed that people would become superhuman, thus leading to the creation of the ranks, from rank 1 to rank 9.
Rank 9 was the highest possible rank known to the galaxy but the Council knew that it wasn't the limit!
After all, they were not Rank 9 experts…
They were rather in the Spirit Awakening realm!
And all that had been possible due to Gaelen-II!
How could they let such a fantastical land be made known to those in the Galactic Federation?
Wouldn't they be offering loaded guns to their enemies to just finish them off?
No!
Like hell they were going to let the galaxy know!
Not before exploiting it to the maximum and strengthening their own personal forces!
Once that was done, then perhaps they would consider releasing the news to those in the Federation to fight for the scraps.
Boreas narrowed his eyes and extended his hand, causing a milky-white flame which blazed with astonishing heat to manifest on his palm.
This, was true power!
Ranked warriors couldn't use the power of the elements but the Council could!
There was a huge chasm between them and peak rank 9 warriors now.
In fact, killing rank 9 warriors would be as easy as harvesting wheat and drinking water.
Vanna, one of the two female councilors blew on her well-manicured nails. 'We have the wife and the children of the ruling clan on Gaelen-II.
That alone will motivate their chief to mine more of it faster.'
She was incredibly beautiful with waist-length hair as dark as night, pale skin, purple irises and a flawless figure which her robes failed to hide.
Nonetheless, she was ruthless and vengeful.
Many knew better than to mess with councilor Vanna.
Beside her, Seren, the other female councilor, much shorter and brown haired, nodded in agreement.
'It's such a pity we can't move the Imperial fleet to occupy that planet right away,' Stafyllidis clicked his tongue in annoyance.
Though engineering the destruction of Gaia had been profitable, it had led to many planets and nations with sufficient power to become incredibly wary.
After all, if the Council could do this to Gaia today, what would prevent them from doing that to their planets in the future?
The Imperial fleet simply couldn't be deployed en masse without being under the watchful eyes of the paranoid nations.
The Council couldn't afford to lead any of those forces to Gaelen-II.
They could only smuggle the resource in small amounts, waiting for the day when the Council unified the entire Galactic federation and became the absolute rulers!
Already, under the Galodron, ten thousand Spiritual Awakening experts, all capable of using elements were hidden and being trained.
And not only there but on uninhabited planets owned by the Council, similar bases had been set up, where peak rank 9 experts awaited that resource to finally step into the next realm.
The Council had made plans that when they finally had five million Spiritual Awakening powerhouses, they would begin the takedown of the Galactic Federation!
Visible excitement was displayed on their faces as they imagined the day they became the supreme rulers of the Galaxy.
Suddenly, a silver robed man rushed in, panic evident on his face.
'Milord Councilor, Milord Councilor!'
Stafyllidis frowned and asked, 'What is it?'
'Gaelen-II is under attack!' replied the silver robed man.
Vanna's glass dropped from her hand in shock. 'What?!'
…
'Avoid killing unless necessary! Remember, we're here to settle not cause a massacre!' ordered the commanders.
Gaelen-II was big enough to accommodate the remnant of Gaia and the natives.
Under such circumstances, there was no need to shed blood unnecessarily.
Countless Gaian soldiers swarmed the grassy plains, rushing forward to the various settlements of the locals of Gaelen-II.
They lived in houses of mud and stones, dressed in animal skin and they stared at the Gaian soldiers in panic and shock.
What was this?
Who were these people?
Were they part of those invaders who came earlier on?
Scared out of their wits, the natives rushed to hide in their houses while some lay prostrate on the ground, covering their heads and cowering in fear!
They had learned the hard way that the weapons of the invaders were dangerous and powerful, far beyond their imagination!
Even if they had powers, resistance was surely futile.
They could only hope they wouldn't be killed.
Similar scenes played out in different settlements all over Gaelen-II.
It was incredibly easy!
The soldiers were all smiles.
There wasn't any need for bloodshed; the natives were submissive!
Denzel, Jax and Brutus stormed into a settlement with other Gaian soldiers.
This settlement was far larger and the natives glared at the invaders with unbridled hostility!
One native let out a high pitched cry and immediately, all the natives in the settlements formed strange stances!
The Gaian soldiers exchanged confused looks.
What was this?
Without giving the invaders the time to wonder what exactly was going on, the natives threw their palms forward!
Various boulders and spears of earth homed in on the Gaian soldiers like missiles, causing everyone's eyes to widen in shock.
'What the actual fuck!?' Jax pupils constricted as he ducked a spear, narrowly skimming past his head.
'These natives can use powers!' Denzel exclaimed.
'This is insane!' Brutus cleaved a boulder into half, causing it to fall at his sides in two unequal bits.
'Stun them!'
Gaian soldiers aimed their blaster rifles at the natives and began to fire.
The rifles were set on stun which would paralyze anyone who was hit by the bullet!
Countless natives fell to the ground, stiff like petrified fowls as they glared at the invaders in rage.
Others began to flee in all directions at an ungodly speed.
'Chase and capture them!'
Some Gaian soldiers took after the fleeing natives whose speed were comparable to rank 9 experts.
Denzel spotted the native who had given the strange cry sneaking in a different direction as compared to the others.
'Look at that native!' he nudged Brutus and Jax.
No one on the Gaian side had noticed the silent escape of that particular native except for Denzel and his friends.
The trio exchanged glances and immediately gave chase!
