"Jade," Raven said after a moment, her voice soft. "I'm glad we did this together."
"Me too," I replied, reaching out to take her hand. "I couldn't have asked for a better partner."
We sat in silence, our hands clasped, finding comfort in each other's presence. The battle was over, but the war was far from finished. The demon king's army had been driven back, but they would return, and we would be ready.
As I looked at Raven, I felt a renewed sense of hope and determination. We had faced the darkness and emerged stronger for it. Together, we would continue to fight, protect our home, and stand against the coming storm.
For now, though, we allowed ourselves a moment of peace, knowing that whatever challenges lay ahead, we would face them side by side.
