Raven looked up, surprise flickering in her eyes as she saw me standing there. For a moment, there was a flicker of something in her expression, but it was quickly replaced by a guarded look, while Alexander had a smirk on his face. At that moment, I wanted to punch him.
"Jade, what are you doing here?" she asked, her voice neutral.
"I... I just wanted to talk," I replied, my voice trembling slightly, shooting a glare at Alexander.
Raven glanced at Alexander, who was watching the exchange with interest. "Can it wait? We're in the middle of something right now," she said, her tone curt.
I felt a pang of disappointment, but I nodded. "Sure, I'll wait," I said, forcing a smile.
Raven hesitated for a moment before nodding. "Okay, I won't be long," she said, her voice softer this time.
As she turned back to Alexander, I felt a surge of jealousy and anger. What were they talking about? Were they laughing at me behind my back?
