Fubuki' face turned pale, muttering, "She's here..."
Roy remained silent, watching her.
Noticing Roy's indifferent expression, Fubuki grabbed his arms, saying, "Sister... Tatsumaki, she's here!"
"If she's here, she's here. What's there to be nervous about?"
"Didn't you leave home because of Sister's high pressure?"
"Since when did you get the impression that Tatsumaki treats family with high pressure, and couldn't bear it, so I ran away secretly?"
"Then why did you leave home?"
"Well-"
"Because Roy grew up."
A girl's voice suddenly sounded which almost made Fubuki jump in fright.
"It's such a simple reason that you don't understand. That's why you'll always be a kid, Fubuki."
A petite woman emitting a green glow drifted in slowly.
She had green curly hair, wore a thin, black long shirt that outlined her slender figure. It was split high up to her thighs, revealing her pale legs, making one wonder if a slight movement would expose more.
From her appearance, it was hard to confirm she was almost thirty. With her youthful appearance and petite stature, one might mistake her for an elementary school student.
But in reality, she was Fubuki and Roy's elder sister, ranked second in the Hero Association as an S-Class hero, hailed as the ultimate weapon by the Hero Association... Tornado of Terror.
Although her entrance was grand, her demeanor was unexpectedly calm.
She landed not far from Roy, glanced at Fubuki, who had a troubled expression, then turned to Roy, "You've been away from home for so long, why didn't you call me? Even if you were planning to live alone, you should've informed me of your current address. Isn't that what a responsible brother should do?"
Roy felt a bit embarrassed. "You're too controlling."
Tatsumaki frowned, "That's the relationship between an elder sister and her younger brother! Accept it properly!"
Roy retorted, "I sincerely hope you could express your concern a bit less forcefully. Being a little more relaxed would foster a harmonious relationship. Fubuki is so afraid of you now, I think you need to reflect on yourself."
"Such a nag!"
Fubuki watched nervously as Roy conversed boldly with Tatsumaki.
'Is this how Roy always talks to sister?'
She worried for Roy.
She couldn't dare to use such sharp words as in front of Tatsumaki. Despite longing to break free from Tatsumaki's shadow, her reverence for Tatsumaki had deeply ingrained in Fubuki' heart. In fact, if Fubuki couldn't overcome her fear of Tatsumaki, she might never truly surpass her.
Roy had noticed this long ago. It was a psychological issue, not something that could change just by pointing it out directly. It often required time to adjust for any effect to be seen.
All Roy could do was guide Fubuki out of her misconception.
The current state of Fubuki' group reflected her situation. Suppressed by Tatsumaki, her psyche had twisted. The Blizzard group she built through various means wasn't necessarily to surpass Tatsumaki, but rather a place for someone lacking affirmation and psychological comfort.
As a certain blonde vampire said, living meant finding peace. Controlling heroes below A-Class brought Fubuki a sense of peace. So, whenever a potential newcomer emerged, Fubuki rushed to suppress or absorb them because she felt unsettled.
And this unsettled feeling would be amplified in front of Tatsumaki.
At this moment, Roy remained calm, even welcoming Tatsumaki, casually making tea and conversing with her. To Fubuki, it felt like standing on the edge of a cliff. Watching Tatsumaki's occasional signs of impatience or even anger, Fubuki' heart raced.
But ultimately, Tatsumaki didn't explode, behaving more like a kitten.
After taking a sip of tea, Tatsumaki asked, "By the way, Roy, you've become a professional hero too?"
"Yeah."
Tatsumaki frowned, "Really? What's your ranking?"
Roy answered indifferently, "I think I'm the last in B-Class, just made it onto the hero roster, as expected."
Listening to their conversation, Fubuki lowered her head, silent but inwardly critical.
'Hmph, next, are you going to order Roy to resign? She said the same thing to me before. Sister never thinks we are capable of standing on our own, always believing we need to live under her protection!'
She was like a rebellious child.
Although neither in age nor appearance did it show.
To Fubuki' surprise, she thought Tatsumaki would oppose Roy becoming a professional hero. However, Tatsumaki merely nodded and said, "Then, do your best."
Fubuki froze, unable to believe her sister's understanding.
Hey, are you pretending?! She couldn't possibly be this understanding!
Putting down her teacup, Tatsumaki said, "Roy, you are growing, so I'm confident in your decisions. Besides, you have enough strength, which I'm well aware of. I came here to see you. You can come home anytime."
With that, she stood up, glanced at Fubuki, and said, "Some people are playing house with a bunch of small fry, it's time to end it. Weaklings will always be weaklings. Even if you possess the strength to be powerful, spending every day with weaklings will only make you weaker."
After saying that, Tatsumaki prepared to fly away using her powers.
"Are you leaving just like that?"
"I'm just dealing with monsters around here. I came by on the way."
This was a lie.
In fact, since Roy left home, Tatsumaki had used the resources of the Hero Association to find Roy's whereabouts. But out of her dignity as an elder sister, she hadn't come over.
Hearing about the Hero Association's plans to explore the outskirts of Z City, Tatsumaki volunteered... almost compulsively... to take on this task.
At this moment, with a suitable excuse, Tatsumaki came over.
Roy frowned, "Monsters around here?"
"According to the Hero Association, the frequency of monster appearances here is much higher than elsewhere. Although they're all small fry, Roy, you should still be careful."
With that, she flew away, and this time Roy didn't try to stop her.
Roy began to ponder slightly.
'I don't often stay in other cities, so I don't have an intuitive sense of the average frequency of monster appearances. I just take the situation here as a cognitive basis. But now it seems it's not that simple. If this place is special, then what is the reason?'
However, regardless of the reason, perhaps it wasn't worth worrying about too much.
After all, there was a Last Boss for monsters living next door to him. Even if there were entities akin to divine-level disasters lurking underneath, they would be dealt with by that guy.
Of course, provided that the disaster was an individual.
If it was a natural disaster, such as a large-scale earthquake or a change in the Earth's core, Saitama might be helpless.
Even though he could shatter meteors and blast away tsunamis, he couldn't avoid destruction.
He could protect himself, but he probably wouldn't have time to care for others.
Saitama's power was overwhelming, but compared to Roy, his shortcomings were also very obvious. Saitama could only destroy, unable to create or repair. Even if the result of his actions was protection, his means were still destructive.
"Ah... I'm hungry, I'm hungry..."
As Roy pondered what to do, Saitama's voice came from outside the door.
Before he could do anything, the door was pushed open.
Hmm... Does this count as talking behind someone's back, and then the main character appears behind them?
