Chapter 13 - Chapter 13

"Why should I, you already wasted my time, I don't see fit to stay here and waste some more." I said, I then started to walked away. But as I did the silver haired girl, who was around four and a half feet blocked my path.

"Out of my way." I declared. Looking down on her, quite literally.

"No. Not until you hear out what Rias has to say." She said, very clearly about her intentions. Her eyes although blank and dull like that of someone who has seen things, were the the dark and rough eyes of someone who has done things. That was the difference between us, I killed to get to my position, they just sat on their ass and got stronger like that.

I then activated a skill I got when I was still weaker. I had no use for it, especially since I was a long ranged fighter who needs to keep their location hidden. But that doesn't mean I just left it to gather dust in the back, it was called, Hunter's Warning Gaze. More made for humans than monsters, but it was useful against weaker subjects if they were dumb, and good for weak willed targets when we were around the same level.

Even if she has seen things, before my glare she would be like a kid who has yet to see the world. I stared straight into her eyes. My one normal eye turned more sinister, it turned red and my pupils turned to look like a wolf's. My teeth show and I started to growl, it was like a wolf's warning a prey to not over step its boundaries.

She was scared, I could tell she was, her body was shaking and her heart started to increase in rates. Her breathing was starting to get shallow, yet she didn't falter, she stood her ground and to me.

The others seemed ready to intervene the moment things got out of hand yet it didn't. I just turned the skill off and went back to my seat and crossed my legs, I then took the pocket watch out and pressed it while saying.

"Five minutes, you have five minutes." At this the others seemed relieved. Especially the red haired girl.

"What do you know about peerages?" She asked, I then narrowed my eyes, I had a feeling as to where this was going. So I let my instincts take over for this.

"A group of devils that reincarnated into another devil's family." This was something I remembered from an old show I watched. I can't exactly remember anything specific, mostly due to the void, but this was something that stuck on for some reason.

"I see, looks like I don't have to explain it to you. I would like you to join my peerage." She said, almost like it was an honor for me to join. She was prideful, she doesn't seem to know her place.

"No." But I kept calm.

"Huh." She was shocked, it seemed to her she thought I would just join at the thought of becoming a demon. Well, I'd rather not.

"Why should I become a demon and serve another person? Why should I give away my freedom to another person? I am someone who values my freedom above all else." I asked, serious.

"I treat all my peerage like family. So you don't have to worry about that. If you become a high ranking devil you can start your own peerage and have a harem of beautiful girls at your beak and call, plus as a devil you will gain super strength, the ability to fly, and speak many languages instinctively. You can even use demonic power." She said, like she was praising our lord and savior.

"And the downsides? If you can't think of any, let me list them out, weakness to holy and divine things, I join a faction and become enemies to the rest, I am not a pure blood devil so I am looked down on and the devils will speak behind my back, I become a slave. I get any and all down sides of being a devil, seemed pretty bad if you ask me." I said, not even trying to walk around the subject.

"I-um, I c-" she stuttered, she knew everything I said was right, that she was trying to hide the downsides of joining the devils.

"If this is all, I will be going back." I said, I made sure to release some of my toys into her room. It is completely invisible and even if they can see invisible things, they can't, because the spell actually bends light around it to make it invisible. So can't exactly see the 'invisible'. They walked around the room and under my command they started to plant themselves into the corners of the room and await my command, I even had one of the mines planted right beneath the seat of the president of the club. This is all to make sure nothing happens.

Not only that, the ammunition and the mine are both full of holy power also hidden. So if they want to try something, they will need to answer to the man above.

I went to my classroom and started to tinker with my stuff, because in my eyes, they really need some work, the skills are only level 10, the enchantment are eleven, and the artificer is level twelve, they could be better, and I definitely need to do that.

I had a feeling something big is coming up, so each safety net I have, the better. If people want to fuck with me, they first need to get through my safety net or else they will have hell to pay.
