Chapter 1 - Once upon a time, a long time ago...

Here is how it was. A long time ago, about four hundred years ago, there was a race that called themselves humans. The main feature of this race is their incredible intelligence. Thanks to this, they made many scientific and technical breakthroughs, constantly developing and improving. So much so that they took complete control of their planet and even its satellite, which was close to being disconnected from its orbit. Their life was so perfect that it is impossible to even imagine. Despite the lack of collective intelligence, they tried to do everything together, which allowed them to grow by leaps and bounds. This was their happiness. What a pity that happiness ends quickly.

At the same time, gods existed. They were the creators of people, there were seven of them in total. God of life, god of death, god of wisdom, goddess of the elements, goddess of love, god of patience, god of philosophy. They had a strength that people would never reach, they had a mind that people with all their aspirations could not achieve. From their "property" they had their own refuge - an abstract object in space, which the human mind could reach only through sleep, and then very rarely. It looked like a building of the highest art, among yellow clouds and bright light, made of the lightest marble, placed on columns symbolizing the supremacy of the gods over their creations, and on the roof were engraved images of these gods. The interesting thing is that the building is much larger on the inside than on the outside. As a result, the gods dubbed it "Heavenly Refuge."The second thing they had was divine energy - an abstract intangible substance that, according to legend, flowed directly in the veins of the gods, and it was pumped by the heart of God - the point of appearance of this energy. It also flowed in the refuge itself, in its purest form. For the gods it varied, depending on their profile and specialty. She was taking shape. More precisely two. The form of a weapon for battles, the form of a role for influence. In other words, for example, the god of patience has a certain impulse, which personified the reflection of the same impulse on human patience. Or for an elemental goddess, energy could take the form of a natural disaster. Thus, they had the most powerful lever to control their creatures. And it is impossible for people to get this leverage for themselves...

Or is it? When people did reach their limit, which is obvious, they wanted more. And a certain sect appeared that could present people on a silver platter with a piece of this divine power. So people have gone too far. Not only did they stop praying to the gods after a certain point of development, which was an insult to them, but they remained silent, they also received power that should not have fallen into their hands. The gods had to intervene and reveal their existence to people. To which we received an attack from them. Can you imagine when your child, whom you have nurtured since birth, turned on you? For the gods it was the same. However, the gods, unlike parents, were cold and reasonable towards their "children". They decided to exterminate everyone, reset all progress, to start all over again, to create a clean slate. They carried out a plan for the genocide of all people. Before this, they prepared everything for the creation of new people. The gods compiled a set of rules, calling it "Heavenly Law," in order to limit the development of a new civilization. Let's get back to the plan. Their plan was to simply shoot people with lasers from space, send as many natural disasters as possible, and so on. In general, carry out "cleaning". And as in any purification, there are always exceptions, and since the gods themselves obeyed the "Heavenly Law", in accordance with it, everyone who did not die after the genocide was endowed with the curse of immortality through the very heart of god. Thus, they endowed the damned with, albeit "reduced", but still divine energy.

Although all this was accomplished, one goddess was against the extermination of people. And this is the goddess of the elements. When drawing up a plan for genocide by the gods, she immediately realized that the gods were stupid, proud people with a huge ego, which was shaken by their own creation. They always wanted to remain above everyone else. And in everything that existed. So she, secretly from everyone, came up with a plan to transfer the full divine energy to a simple person, so that he could overthrow everyone from their place and reduce them to the atoms of themselves. She chose the right person, he turned out to be a young man named Koma-an. He was a top-notch swordsman, one hundred eighty-five centimeters tall, with purple hair and stylish dark purple clothes with a coat. When the gods showed up, he became one of the first who was categorically against the gods and the entire hierarchy. When the genocide came, the elemental goddess turned into purple lightning, depriving herself of her physical shell and mind, and directly struck Koma-an and the second person with thunder. To his sister. The power of the elemental goddess, which took the form of purple lightning, was divided between two people.

Everything was planned. It was a test of endurance. The goddess chose him and a person dear to him to defeat her and absorb the power that was half of her full power. Koma-an and his sister received the heart of a god and half of the purple lightning abilities. At first they lived forever, did not grieve, and revealed their abilities; however, later half of Koma-an's power began to fade away, since according to his fate, a duel was inevitable. He looked for all the options to avoid his death from lack of energy, even turned to that very sect for knowledge, but nothing was said in this knowledge, because this incident happened for the first time. And then one day, when he was almost dying, in a dream he saw her - the goddess of the elements, who told him about the condition for avoiding death. He denied all this, but still, the duel was carried out. Duel to the death, one of the two dies and absorbs energy. There was a field in the middle of the forest in the mountains, and they decided to fight there. They have relatively equal victory conditions. Koma-an had lightning-fast regeneration and emitted lightning, while his sister had the speed of a lightning dash and the weapon form was a long sword similar to a katana, Koma-an's favorite sword.

- Koma-an, promise me that you have the will to do this. - said Inko, Koma-ana Terika's sister.

"I d-don't know..." Koma-an answered uncertainly. - I don't think I can...

- You can. This power is meant for you, because even the shape of the sword is similar to your favorite one, so you can do it. After all, this is God's plan.

- Okay, okay. - Koma-an said still uncertainly.

And the duel began. Koma-an, exhausted by lack of energy and time, fought with full strength.Inko also tried his best to fight. They fought until the evening, until at one point, Inko stumbled, and Koma-an accidentally mortally wounded her.

- NO! THIS CAN'T BE HAPPEN!!!

- You tried your best, you deserve it. But I want to hear a promise from you. Please, kill all the gods for me, they arranged all this. - Inko said in a tired, hoarse tone.

- I promise, I give my man's word, I will avenge you!!!! - Koma-an said. - I'll kill them all. - he thought, holding the lifeless body of his sister, absorbing the energy.

He buried her on a mountain, not far from this field.

Returning home, he tried to find a way to get into the shelter. And I found it in the knowledge of the sect. From them he learned that one can get to the refuge only through sleep, but by correctly tuning the divine energy during sleep. At night, after two sleepless nights, he went to bed and managed to adjust his energy. That's how he ended up in the "Heavenly Haven". All the gods were inside, and he played on the effect of surprise. Simply put, they did not expect that a person would be able to come here. So, in one night, one man with the power of the goddess committed genocide of the gods and completely destroyed the refuge. He carried out a plan that he considered his own, although it was not.
