As Kim slowly leaves her private office, the creaking from the downstairs floor gives away her presence. The moment she arrives beneath the stairs, she paces near them, almost as if she is waiting for something to happen. Suddenly, a loud, random buzz comes from the front door. Startled by the buzz, Kim jumps. Her breathing becomes heavier as she cautiously approaches the door, not knowing who could be on the other side. Kim cracks open the front door slowly and gently. There's an unfamiliar face she has never seen before, one that is stern and serious. As Kim looks behind the man who is staring at her, she notices Mr. Miller behind him. Feeling somewhat reassured by Mr. Miller's presence, she opens the door halfway.
"Oh, Mr. Miller, It's been a while." she says.
"Hello, again." He says.
He then introduces his partner for the exorcism, Father Matthews.
"Oh, Kim, this is Father Matthews, a past friend of mine from the church. He's agreed to help with the excorcism today." He says.
The strangers shake hands.
"How do you do?" Father Matthews asks in a deep and profound tone.
"Well, thank you." She responds with an overwhelmed face.
Seconds later, Father Matthews then enters the home with no invitation.
"Is the boy this way?" he asks, pointing at the stairs.
"Yes, up those stairs," she says shakily, pointing at the stairs and directing him.
As he walks up the stairs to Isaiah's room, Kim watches him. Mr. Miller walks to Kim's side, then stops, watching Father Matthews head upstairs as well. Kim looks at Mr. Miller.
"Some friend, huh?" Kim asks.
Mr. Miller chuckles.
"I know he might come off as stubborn, but I promise you he is a highly certified priest. One of the best," he mentions.
"Mhmm." Kim responds, slowly nodding her head.
The pair then walk up the stairs together, catching up with Father Matthews.
She rushes up the stairs to get in front of Father Matthews. She finally reaches her son's bedroom door. Father Miller and Father Matthews catch up seconds later. They're all now in front of Isaiah's bedroom door.
"I'd better warn you guys, it's awfully cold in there. Why not take a coat?" she asks.
She takes some of her husband's coats off a nearby coat rack.
"Nonsense, I'm wearing my cassock. I find it quite suitable for keeping me warm." Father Matthews says stubbornly.
"Okay," she says, turning to Mr. Miller next.
"Father Miller?" she asks with two coats still in her hands.
Father Miller chuckles.
"If you insist," He says.
He takes one of the coats from her hands and puts it on over his cassock. Kim helps him put the coat on.
"I believe we should begin." Father Matthews says to Father Miller.
Father Miller nods at him and then looks at Kim. Kim nods, counting on him.
Moments later, Father Miller takes center stage in front of the bedroom door. Putting his sweaty hand on the doorknob, he twists it, creaking the door. Father Matthews follows after Father Miller. While Father Matthews is ready to begin the exorcism, Mr. Miller is nervous, thinking about what his father had faced. Both fathers slowly walk into Isaiah's room, physically prepared to start an exorcism.
