Chapter 1 - THE BEGINNING OF THE END

As the sun cast its golden rays upon the beautiful village of Vitoria, Little Rex clutched his football in his hand, ready to join his friends to play.

"Don't go too far!" his mother's voice called out with gentle concern.

"Yes mum" Rex shouted from a distance as he ran off to join his friends

The villagers of Vitoria were a close-knit community, living in harmony with their neighboring villages. Despite the challenges they faced, they chose to be happy, their relationships being strengthened by their unity.

At just six years old, Rex was a bright and caring boy. He was the only child of his mother, who had faced the heartache of losing her husband two years ago to a severe sickness. Despite the loss, Rex remained a beacon of strength and support for his mother. He eagerly assisted her with daily chores and responsibilities, always willing to lend a helping hand.

Rex also possessed a unique skill inherited from his late father. When he turned three, his dad would take him on hunting trips and teach him how to shoot. And at such tender age, with so much practice even after the death of his dad, he had mastered the art of hunting, skillfully wielding a bow to hit precise targets. Even though he hunted for fun, his expeditions always ended with him bringing a lot of animals back to his mother, to show his keen eye and steady hand.

Rex held his football and dashed to the nearby field where he played with his friends every Sunday evening after finishing his chores. Some of his friends were already there, eagerly waiting for him.

As Rex and his friends played on the field, a resounding boom reverberated through the atmosphere indicating a disruption of the earth's atmosphere. Startled, Rex gazed upward, and the last thing he saw before he was knocked out was flashes of red brilliant light that painted the heavens in haunting hues like an asteroid hurtling towards the earthlings.

In the blink of an eye, an Auragmite, a special gem which was very important to the Xenotypes, an alien race, collided with the Earth's surface. The Auragmite was a super strong gem that combined the bright aura of Aurorite and the fiery power of Pyragem which held enormous power. It gave the Xenotypes their powers and was their life source on their home planet 'Mite'. The gem was always resided within a vessel, it had no actual shape, so it could take on any form, with water being its previous vessel. However, a mistake made by the Xenogeneticist during an experiment caused the Auragmite escape, leading it to land on Earth and the energy it released caused a powerful force that shook the ground intensely.

Half of the earth was engulfed in its fiery embrace. The ground trembled violently, splitting open, mountains fell like sandcastles, rivers changed their course, and forests were consumed. The sky turned dark as the smoke and debris from the impact filled the air, blotting out the sun's rays. The air was filled with a cacophony of loud roars and powerful shakes as the impact echoed through space.

Rex struggled to open his eyes hours after the impact, feeling a throbbing pain in his head and noticing an odd, glimmering red color in his eyes. He couldn't comprehend what was happening. With a soft whimper, he tenderly massaged his forehead in an attempt to endure the pain, while slowly managing to open his eyelids. At first, his vision was hazy, but it slowly cleared up after a few moments.

He looked around him, the grounds were torn apart, houses reduced to rubble, and the earth seemed abandoned. The village he once knew now resembled a ghost town. Rex thought it was a dream as he desperately rubbed his eyes, hoping it wasn't real.

"Mum!" he cried out, his voice trembling with anguish. But all he heard was his own voice echoing back at him. There was no sign of life, no response from anyone. His heart ached as he tried to figure out where his home once stood but everything was plain and utterly destroyed.

Filled with despair, Rex wandered slowly, "Mum! Where are you? Mum!" he cried, calling out for his mother.

He lifted debris, hoping to find any trace of a person, but it seemed like everyone had vanished. It felt like he had been transported to an entirely different and desolate world. He was completely unaware of what had transpired, why he was the only survivor, and the fact that he was no longer entirely human.

After walking for a bit, he came across a tree that had been split in half. He leaned against it, and lowered himself to the ground. His energy was depleted from crying, and hunger gnawed at him. On the ground nearby, he noticed a dead fruit. He picked it up, cleaned its surface and took a bite. Initially, the taste seemed unfamiliar, as if he were savoring material made of rubber. However, he continued to eat due to his intense hunger. A peculiar sensation washed over his body, and suddenly, excruciating pain surged through him. His head throbbed intensely once more, his bones felt as though they were ablaze, and he lost consciousness once again.

The Xenotypes, in their quest for the valuable Auragmite that had made its way to Earth, arrived on the planet Earth, only to encounter a desolate landscape, devoid of any signs of life.

The Xenos had skin with a striking purple color, long limbs, glowing eyes, and patterns on their skin that sparkled in the light. They had sleek bodies with detailed designs and moved gracefully in a way that seemed to defy the earthly physics.

"It wiped out the entire planet," Gor chuckled darkly. "Who could have imagined that the Auragmite possessed such power outside of its vessel?"

"It's not something to joke about," Leah retorted, her tone serious.

"Well, what can I say?" Gor smirked, his indifference apparent.

"I can sense it," Carlos, the Xenos' reigning monarch, whispered softly as he paced around. "It's here, very close," he said, casting wary glances in search of the precious gem. He could feel it's presence but couldn't tell where it was exactly.

Gor and Leah remained silent, for no one dared to speak out of turn in the presence of the king unless summoned or in matters of utmost importance.

Gor and Leah both held prominent positions as leaders within the King's army, recognized as the Xenarmies. The Xenarmies consisted of four distinct groups, with Gor heading one and Leah another. Their main duty was to protect the king, while others handled different tasks. So, they accompanied the king to Earth in search of the Auragmite, while their companions waited for their return.

King Carlos possessed immense strength and fearlessness, his leadership carried authority, and he displayed a ruthless demeanor when circumstances demanded it. To the xenotypes, he was the perfect example of strength and courage, showing what a strong and decisive leader should be like.

"Hey, over here!" Leah cried out unexpectedly as she spotted a frail young human on the brink of death. "An earthling?"

Gor hurried to her side, witnessing the sight of a barely conscious little girl, about five years old, her body charred by the blast and barely clinging to life

"Help me!" the little girl cried out.

"Ignore her," Gor suggested coldly. "She's nearly beyond saving."

Leah sighed, a touch of sadness in her expression.

"What's that?" Carlos interjected with authority from a distance.

"A human girl, sir," Leah replied, bowing her head.

Carlos drew closer to observe the child lying on the ground, her visage looked like someone who had suffered extensive burns. Were it not for her faint cry, one might scarcely recognize her as a living being.

"Please, help me," pleaded the young girl, reaching out and grasping onto Carlos's clothing.
