For this week's chapter we need to go to the the lush forests of Galadreil . Here there is a vast variety of flora and fauna , today we will be focusing on a stalker predator aptly named sonus panthera
APPEARENCE
It's a panther like creature with a fully prehensile tail with ends in a small stinger it has two rows of teeth one normal teeth and the second smaller inward facing teeth and a pair of crimson red eyes and pointed ears which slightly resemble the ears of bats .
HABITAT
Usually found in rainforest and coniferous forests but is compatible with must habitats which is why it is a popular tame if properly tamed.
BEHAVIOR
It's a stalker with a decent Intelligence as there are reports of laying primitive traps like leaving pieces of meat or bait to lure its prey into a more advantageous position. Sonus panthera popularly known as shadow panther is also a cowardly creature as it usually hunts prey that its confident against and a good memory but it's is not as physically gifted as the other predators and if it's abush misses it will run away after disorienting them with a sonic boom it produces from its mouth. The femal shadow panthers are more bulkier the Their male counterparts and are faithful to their mates and have around 7 cubs per year and the the cubs have a mortality rate of 37 percent. They move swiftly and quitely and unlike other beasts it has no set territory except the first few months the cubs is born and the male goes hunt to for those months and the female gets more amount of food as it has to produce milk for the cubs.
MAIN FOOD
It mostly hunts herbivores and easy predators and humans and cattel is its most easy to get prey hence it is also considered a nuisance.
WEAPONS AND CATION
It's main weapon is its teeth and claws its secondary weapons are the sonic boom and it's tail stinger which Ijects poison which rapidly coagulates blood
USES
It can be used as a tamed after proper training which could cost upto 2 silver or can be can be sold tamed shadow panthers are worth 50 silver each and an untamed shadow panther is worth 20 silver and a corpse of a shadow panther is worth 10 silver so it is advised to capture it alive if possible
