"Roar of the Thunder Dragon!"
"Roar of the Armored Dragon!"
"Roar of the Skeleton Dragon!"
Faced with the roars of the three Dragon Slayer mages, Aegon merely stood his ground.
"Move back a bit," he said calmly.
Selene understood his intentions. Aegon wanted to leave a lasting impression on them. She gestured for Misaki and Kiria to retreat with her a thousand meters away.
The three Dragon Slayer roars converged, and the faint sound of dragon cries could be heard.
Boom!
A cloud of dust instantly engulfed Aegon's figure.
"Hmph! Arrogant fool."
"Looks like he wasn't much after all."
"Wait… Look!"
Just as Madmore was about to say something, he caught sight of a massive dragon silhouette within the smoke…
And this dragon's size surpassed any they had ever seen!
What was even more shocking was that the dragon was lifting its head, seemingly devouring the Dragon Slayer magic energy.
"No way… Isn't that three different Dragon Slayer attributes?"
Scario felt his understanding of the world shattering.
Kirin clenched his fists. "How could something be this massive…?"
"Impossible… Completely impossible…" Madmore shook his head and took a step back.
What emerged from the smoke was a fifty-five-meter-long, black dragon covered in crimson patterns. Its eyes were red, with a slit-shaped pupil of brown in the center.
The dragon didn't need to make a single move; its sheer presence stirred waves of intense energy. The ground started to crack, stones flying into the air, swirling around the dragon, forming a fierce wall of rubble, whistling as it circled.
"No… there's no way…"
"No way we can win…"
Scario and Madmore had lost all will to fight, collapsing to the ground.
"I refuse to believe it!" Kirin took a deep breath, his stomach swelling as violent lightning erupted from his mouth, tearing through the ground.
Yet the lightning failed to even pierce the air currents surrounding the black dragon.
The black dragon swung a claw at them, and though their minds screamed at them to dodge, their bodies were paralyzed. They could only watch as the menacing black claw slammed into them!
The three were sent flying like volleyballs, crashing through dozens of trees before finally collapsing, unconscious.
Kirin granted Aegon 180,000 experience points, while Scario and Madmore provided 120,000 and 110,000 points, respectively.
Aegon's massive form gradually shrank, returning to his human state. Selene returned to his side with Misaki and Kiria.
"Misaki, go bring them over."
With that, Aegon nonchalantly walked into the skeletal castle.
This castle was slightly smaller than the dragon fortress of the "Magia Dragon." It held five distinct auras, but two of them were already fading.
Misaki casually pulled the three from her blue dimension, tossing them haphazardly onto the ground. "Lord Aegon, may I try persuading them?"
"Go ahead."
Misaki gave a slight nod. "Thank you, Lord Aegon."
She didn't give them a moment to breathe. With a wave of her hand, three streams of blue water appeared out of nowhere, dousing Kirin and the others.
"Cough, cough, cough!"
They lay on the ground, coughing violently. Each cough triggered waves of pain throughout their bodies, twisting their faces in agony.
Misaki looked down at them impassively. "Kirin, this is your last chance. Submit, or die."
After a moment's hesitation, Misaki's tense expression softened. She sighed, adding, "Submission is no disgrace, especially when it's to Lord Aegon and Lady Selene."
"I surrender!" Scario agreed without hesitation.
"Me too!" Madmore quickly followed, seeing Scario's change of heart.
After witnessing Aegon's transformation, Scario and Madmore had already regretted being swayed by Kirin's goading. Now, bruised and battered, with multiple broken bones, they could barely stand.
"And you, Kirin?"
Still on the ground, Kirin looked at Aegon and Selene, who sat in the guild master Georg's chair, observing them with amusement. Finally, he closed his eyes and nodded. "I submit."
The impact Aegon left on him far exceeded anything Georg could have.
The moment Kirin spoke, Aegon's list of tools updated with three new names.
Kirin [Loyalty: 75]
Scario [Loyalty: 80]
Madmore [Loyalty: 83]
Kirin's loyalty was slightly lower, but as long as it didn't drop below 50, betrayal was unlikely.
Misaki breathed a sigh of relief, her face lighting up as she looked at Aegon. Kirin and the others' lives were spared, but more importantly, she had fulfilled Aegon's orders and contributed to his cause.
"Well done. You can continue questioning them."
"Yes!" With Aegon's approval, Misaki turned back to Kirin and the others, her energy renewed. "Where are Nebar and Raith?"
Kirin shook his head. "Ever since the Guild Master and you vanished, they left a long time ago. We don't know where they went."
"And the Lightning Dragon King, Elexion's soul—is it still here?"
She had seen Kirin dragging a large coffin with chains earlier, so she had her suspicions but needed to confirm.
"Yes, it's in that coffin."
Misaki nodded. Currently, she had the coffin sealed in her blue dimension and had no intention of returning it to Kirin. One of the reasons Aegon and Selene came here was for Elexion's soul.
For Kirin, this was actually a relief. Elexion's soul had been more of a burden, haunting him without enhancing his power.
Misaki conveyed Aegon and Selene's decision, "The guild name will remain the same, but Lord Aegon will now be the Guild Master. Your duties are to complete commissions in Guiltina, recruit new members, and ensure they swear loyalty to Lord Aegon. And hunt magical beasts."
The three were slightly surprised. This submission was simpler than they had expected. Aegon and Selene didn't seem to plan on staying here, so their orders sounded like a distant rule without direct oversight, easing their concerns.
"Here, take this medicine."
Three black pills with a green glow floated in front of Kirin and the others. Without hesitation, they swallowed them; after all, if Aegon wanted them dead, poison wouldn't be necessary.
It wasn't poison as they feared but rather a potent healing medicine, imbued with Irene's healing magic.
Moments later, the three, who had been immobilized moments before, managed to stand up, dropping to one knee.
"Yes, sir!"
