Chapter 49 - Chapter 49: A Visit

Even after settling in Magnolia, Aegon specifically invited a female designer to measure and custom-make many outfits for Irene and Selene...

But this was the first time for Aegon and Irene to have such a novel experience...

Selene sighed, "Tsk tsk tsk, thank goodness this house has good soundproofing."

Aegon's master bedroom was the first room on the left on the second floor, and Erza's was the first on the right. With only a living room separating the two rooms, Selene thought Erza might not get any sleep at night if not for the good soundproofing.

"Your turn now, Selene."

"What on earth are you making me wear?!"

Selene had never seen such clothing before. The oversized collar was one thing, but why did she have to wear a scarf too? The skirt was the only normal-looking piece—a blue short skirt paired with white knee-high socks. The shoes, in Selene's view, were just strange leather shoes. Despite her complaints, Selene still put them on.

"Class is in session, Selene."

"Wait a minute... Why... Irene, why are you wearing glasses?"

"And what are you holding? Put that down!"

"A pointer." Irene lightly tapped her palm with the pointer, smiling slightly, which sent a chill down Selene's spine...

"Don't come any closer!!!"

...

While Aegon was having a great time, Makarov was troubled by the appearance of the missing "Dragon of the Magic Array" castle in the Eastern Forest.

After receiving the news from Macao and Wakaba, he specifically went to the Eastern Forest to check it out. Then, through his friend, Councilor Yajima, he obtained pictures of the "Dragon of the Magic Array" castle.

Upon comparison, he was almost certain it was the same castle.

Makarov drank alone, muttering, "It seems the sudden disappearance of the centennial mission client might be related to them..."

"Taking it is one thing, but flaunting it so boldly at the entrance is just too brazen..."

But thinking of the immense magic power emanating from Aegon, Selene, and Irene, a shiver ran down his spine...

The three looked very young, even younger than Gildarts, but Makarov did not dare to treat them as mere youths.

"Forget it, I'll just pretend I don't know about this. Let the Council worry about it when they find out. The arrogant Council deserves a lesson."

In fact, this matter was beyond Makarov's control.

Due to Magnolia's Harvest Festival, many people from various towns in Fiore Kingdom came to participate in the grand event, including reporters. Weekly magazine reporters naturally took notice of the giant dragon castle.

Eventually, with the publication of the newspapers, the Magic Council ERA became aware of this.

The councilors had differing opinions.

Some didn't want to get involved, thinking it was enough to inform the Alakitasia Council MNP as a duty;

Some were cowardly, believing that anyone who could move a castle from Alakitasia to Ishgar without anyone noticing was definitely not friendly;

Some were very arrogant, feeling that Aegon displaying the giant dragon castle so blatantly was a provocation to the Council!

If Aegon knew their thoughts, he would say it wasn't a provocation at all; placing it there was purely for decoration. He even planned to place another giant dragon castle at the entrance for symmetry.

The final decision was... since it was so close to Magnolia, the task naturally fell to the Ten Wizard Saints, Makarov.

Upon receiving the Council's notification, Makarov slammed his glass down on the bar:

"My dear Council!"

Why should he ask Aegon to hand over the giant dragon castle? He had only met Aegon once, and apart from that meeting half a month ago, he hadn't seen Aegon since.

"Sigh..." He sighed helplessly, "Forget it, I'll just satisfy my own curiosity."

Having Erza relay the message, and receiving Aegon's consent, Makarov visited the estate the next day.

Erza greeted him at the entrance, "Master, please come in. Selene asked me to guide you."

"Such a long way." Makarov remarked at the distance from the gate to the building.

Erza addressed Selene as instructed by Selene herself.

Selene's explanation was, "Now is not the time to call me sister, calling me aunt makes me feel old, so just call me by my name."

Although Erza was puzzled, she complied.

"Selene said this place covers three square kilometers."

"Three million square meters???"

Calculating, Makarov was stunned.

Beside him was the giant dragon castle, and behind it was the metallic silver magic cruiser he had also seen before.

Previously, he had only seen it from afar. Now, up close, he realized with a start, "This seems to be... an Alakitasia Empire model."

[Could they be from the Alakitasia Empire?]

Erza was puzzled, "Alakitasia Empire?"

Irene had omitted her involvement with the Alakitasia Empire when she spoke earlier, as she had already left.

"A vast empire on the western continent, much larger than Fiore Kingdom. It's still too distant for you."

"Impressive young people..."

Seeing Misaki and Jilia training, Makarov couldn't help but be surprised. Such magic power at such a young age; the blue-haired girl among them had slightly more magic power than Erza.

Erza pushed open the door, "Master, just walk straight ahead; he's waiting for you there."

With that, Erza hurried away, leaving Makarov somewhat puzzled.

Soon, his confusion was resolved.

When Makarov entered the hall, he saw Aegon reclining on a lounge chair with his eyes closed, a beautiful red-haired girl massaging his temples. Most importantly, the girl's magic power seemed no less than that of Ishgar's Ten Wizard Saints.

Aegon lay in the middle, Irene on the left, and Selene on the right.

Makarov was somewhat flattered; this reception was far beyond his expectations, as he merely mentioned wanting to visit Aegon.

In reality, Irene had not thanked Makarov in person for taking care of Erza, so she was there for that reason.

Selene, on the other hand, was simply drawn to where the action was.

"Please sit." Seeing Makarov standing still, Irene gestured for him to sit.

"Thank you." As Makarov sat down, a maid immediately served hot tea.

Irene shook her head, "I should be the one thanking you. I heard from Erza that you asked Porlyusica to treat her right eye."

Makarov, who always did good deeds without seeking reward, only following his life credo, did not feel glad at this moment, only happy that his constant efforts had meaning.

But he hadn't come to accept Irene's thanks. He turned to look at Aegon, who hadn't even opened his eyes.

Makarov lowered his posture, "I apologize for the abrupt visit today; it is because of the giant dragon castle at the estate's entrance."
