"I have somethings to report," Okoro said as he saw the situation had calmed down.
The forest this time felt strange, according to the reports of the children and what I saw on our way back, the forest seemed empty, although we could here birds chirping there was a lack of animals in the forest.
Not the strong ones, but almost all the weak prey had suddenly disappeared, if you saw one there was a herd nearby, and the growth of stronger animals in the forest, this time they were almost everywhere.
The elders heard his words and considered it seriously, other set of children had gone to hunt but this group had the most casualties and wounds among them, and according to what he said it seems it would be harder to get meat in the coming times.
"Secondly, Akpobor saw something which I think the tribe chief should hear" Okoro said as he looked at their faces lost in thoughts.
They heard the name Akpobor and all stopped for a moment to look for him in the group, he was rather famous in the tribe, when they found him they were shocked.
The power he emitted from his body was shocking, they couldn't feel it before because he had tried to suppress his aura so his mates wouldn't feel the brunt of his power while he was walking with them.
Not only were they shocked because of his powers, his appearance had somehow changed. From the dreadlocks, brown eyes, short posture, and skin he had before he left looked completely different.
His hair was flowing in the wind with no sign of the dreadlocks he once had, his brown eyes turned blue the color of the sky, his former short posture was now standing tall and proud with all his muscles well defined, and his skin shimmered like polished bronze under the sun.
He lacked any previous battle scar; he looked like he had been reborn, if they didn't really know him before they wouldn't even have recognized him.
"Ok let's go to the chief's place to hear the matter" one of the elders spoke as they were moving already, and Akpobor followed them.
"I felt nervous, it's been a long time since I had seen the chief, the last time was when my parents died, and I was summoned to his cottage."
Just remembering me staring at him felt like I was staring at death himself, his voice so mild but when he talks the whole village notices.
He felt like nothing I had seen before, even when facing the wolf I didn't feel its aura because it suppressed it, but the chief let it flow out freely calling it training for the young ones.
As I followed the elders towards the chief cottage, I could feel his overpowering aura flowing freely arrounf the surrounding areas, the aura felt like something I had experienced before, then I remembered I felt something like that with the temple gate.
As I stepped into the cottage I saw the chief just sitting outside basking under the sun, he still looked as young as before, even though he was nearing eighty in age he still looked like he was in his mid forties.
His locs so long that it reached his waist, black-brown eyes, his beards grown out, and a little scar under his right eye, he was wearing wrist guards and some armor on his shoulder.
"What happened that you all came to my cottage?" The tribes chief spoke.
"Migwo," the other elders, Okoro and Akpobor greeted.
"It's about the hunt that was just carried out" the elders responded.
Okoro said from the reports and what he saw the forest activities was unusual.
"Okoro explain," the chief spoke out.
From what I saw and from what the children told me, the forest this time was noteworthy.
First of all, the lack of normal small prey was everywhere throughout the forest, any small prey was seen as part of a herd.
Secondly, some monsters were mutated which is very rare in the forest.
Thirdly, the ape clan was seen moving around the forest, a place they usually are not allowed to move to, they pursued a child, four of them so we had to kill them.
Fourth, Akpobor saw something which we call mysterious creatures, the legends our parents told us as stories when we where small.
Okoro turned as he talked to Akpobor,"tell the chief what you saw"
The chief turned at looked at Akpobor, he was both confused and shocked, the memory of Akpobor he had in his head was completely different from what he was seeing now, and the power emanating from him was on par if not greater than Okoro.
"Wasn't Akpobor an oncoming genius, How did he become this strong?" This type of thoughts were wandering in his head.
As the chief looked at me my heart stopped beating for a moment, it felt like I was locked on by a dangerous predator like the mysterious wolf I met in the forest, I steeled my heart as I tried to stabilize my breath.
"Explain everything you saw" the chief spoke in a tone filled with authority and confidence.
I briefly explained my encounter with the wolf how it showed up when I killed a boar, and how it gave me a quest to find something for it in the depths of the forest.
Following what he gave me I found myself in a temple, that was mysterious with a powerful aura emanating from it, I told him about the battle I had in there and how I almost lost my life till a lady saved me. She said she saved me only because she knew my lineage and was doing it for old time's sake, she gave me the item the wolf wanted without questions or anything.
She opened it up and I saw an emerald heart, just her opening it up refreshed my whole body, it felt like I had grown stronger. I left the temple and gave the wolf what it wanted but it didn't give me my reward and just left immediately.
"You saw what???" the chief stood up and he shouted with obvious confusion in his face.
