As Apobor wondered about the whereabouts of his necklace the other children of the tribes were on their way to the tall palm tree.

Eruvwu, Eseoghene, Egbo, and Ovie made their way towards the tree as they talked about their hunt.
"Won't we just lose the hunt like this?" Egbo said, we barely hunted any animals only the weak ones, while we had to escape from the stronger ones, we didn't even cross any threshold I'm sure Akpobor would have crossed one already as he had always been the first at anything among our peers.
"Calm down, we have to always think positively, what if he's having the same problem as us at this moment, what If it's the whole tribe's children that have this experience," Eruvwu said.
"Yeah, you have to calm down Egbo, although I don't fully support what Eruvwu said doesn't mean it might not be true," Eseoghene said, with the way Akpobor or Fejiro behaved they would have most likely gone after the dangerous ones that we run away from, so they might either be dead or have crossed a threshold.
What we should be worried about now is our progress, what would the elders do if they found out our result in the hunt, and how would our parents react to it, they had trained us since we were kids but now we are afraid to face one dangerous animal just because of fear.
Feel the fear in you and do it anyway, what's there to risk, there are four of us here wouldn't we be able to combine our strengths and hunt one of those dangerous animals?
Ovie calmly listened to them not mentioning anything, Akpobor, and Fejiro were his friends and it wouldn't be nice for him to talk jealously of them behind their backs, and he knew them well both of them would have probably crossed or surpassed a threshold already, he knew he had to also work hard, he had overcome his fear while in the forest alone so why can't four of them face a dangerous beast?
The sky was getting dark with the orange glow of the sunset hitting the forest, they all stopped momentarily to make a camp for it would be dangerous to traverse the forest at night.
All around the forest, you could see camps and tents made of large leaves and sticks to protect them from the cold night and to also camouflage them from the predators of the dark.
Running through the dark, jumping through trees, and collecting sticks we could see Miracle, the boy who was being pursued by two apes earlier.
He didn't plan to get any rest tonight, all day the apes had been pursuing him, and somehow they always found him anytime they lost his tracks, he had stopped bleeding so the apes couldn't follow the blood anymore, so he was surprised when anytime he was about to take rest the apes would always catch up.
He kept collecting sticks and sharpening them as he ran, he was planning to use them as weapons every time they got closer.
After running at an average speed for thirty minutes he stopped, he was tired of running, so he dropped all the sticks he had at that moment and decided to fight. Even if he couldn't win he could simply run again.
It was already dark and it was hard to see, he hid on the branch of a tree nearby waiting for the two apes to quickly arrive but after waiting for almost an hour they still didn't show up. Miracle was already tired from running all day that he hadn't had the chance to eat or do anything else so on top of that tree he fell asleep.
A few minutes later, the apes suddenly came out of nowhere like a flame appearing in the dark. They had been waiting for him to fall asleep so they could wipe this shame off of them.
As they were getting closer a swift wind brushed off their faces, and they turned to look around and saw a big black cat, the cat was as tall as half the apes making it seem rather large, its fur as dark as the night forest making it blend casually with the darkness, its claws as sharp as iron swords, the tree it just leaped down from was already broken in half with just it's claws.
The apes so this and their faces turned livid, since the day began they had bad luck, they met a creature that looked like them, it was significantly small and didn't have hair in its body except its head, which was weird to them. They were curious and decided to play with it, they found out it was surprisingly fragile, with just one squeeze they would break.
So they maintained the strength used, so they wouldn't break their little toy but what made them angry was when their toy tried to escape and it actually escaped from their hands, and when they caught up to him he suddenly got faster and they lost track of him.
But they weren't worried, they had a secret method in their clan, with the target's blood they could locate him within a search area of a few kilometers but it had shortcomings, it had cooldowns, and after one day you need fresh blood from the target to locate it again.
The only reason they could use this method was because they were elders of their clans, if ordinary members of their clan used it they would face serious backlash and could be crippled just for it.
Now finally they had located their target and had tricked him into thinking he lost them when they were about to take action another predator arrived, a predator of the dark, a mystical black panther and he wanted to take their prey away from them.
Not only was it a crown, but a coat of shame for another predator to steal prey from them, if they weren't elders they would be banished from the clan, some even killed. But since they were elders their status would be dropped to those ordinary members and would be punished by the clan.
