Chapter 66 - 66. Moon Rabbit

Moon Rabbit's Guild is developing rapidly. Indra's skill to appraise people's awakened potentials and skills are very useful for the development of the Guild.

He recruits Hunters with great abilities from all classes, including non-combat classes like craftsmen. His goal is to make a self-sufficient Guild that can do all the processes from Hunting to producing items.

That's why Indra always goes scouting every day using his clones. While his clones' combat abilities aren't as high as him, they are still as strong as average A-Rank hunters now. They also can use all his skills except cloning themselves.

So they can change their appearance using [Shape Shifting] and hide in the crowd to find talents. When the clones find talents, they will follow the targets for investigation to judge whether they are worthy to be recruited or not.

If they are worthy, Indra will approach them and make contracts with them. For the ones who have awakened, he may upgrade their power if needed. As for those who haven't awakened, he will awaken them after they sign the [Soul Contract] to keep his ability to awaken them a secret.

His scouting isn't just limited in the Bali Island, but extends to the surrounding islands as well. He wants to search the entire country, but he can't make that many clones yet, and maintaining the clones from very long distances takes a lot of effort.

In just 2 years since their creation, the Moon Rabbit Guild has dominated Bali. It can even be said that they are monopolizing the 'Hunting Business' in Bali. After all, they even take over the other Big Guilds in Bali.

The reason is because their raids are the safest in the whole country. The death rate of their hunters is incredibly low even if the 2 National Level Hunters aren't joining the raids.

They have many attack teams, so obviously Indra and Dewi can't join all raids. But somehow their raids are safer than even the raids of other attack teams that have S-Rank Hunters in them.

Indonesia now has 12 S-Rank hunters, not including Indra and Dewi. Most of them are from Java island because it's very populated, so the chance of awakening among the masses there is high.

All those S-Ranks have their own Guild and attack team. But they still have more dungeon related incidents compared to any of Moon Rabbit teams including the low-ranked teams.

The Moon Rabbit Guild also never fails in their raids. They even got 2 Red Gate incidents, but they still succeeded. Though it was because Indra was in the teams that got trapped in Red Gates.

He always checks all the Gates that his Guild's teams will raid. His [Appraisal] doesn't only work on people, but also on Gates, after all. So he knows if a Gate will become a Red Gate and he will lead the team himself.

Other than those things, their high success rate is also because all Moon Rabbit's attack teams are properly trained and educated. Indra won't hesitate to kick out people who underestimate the danger in dungeons and ignore all their teachings.

Another reason is because all their Hunters are equipped with proper equipment, even the low ranking ones. They have teams to raid all Gate ranks including E-Rank Gates that are made of E & D-Rank Hunters and they will still be equipped well.

This is the reason why Indra recruited non-combatants like craftsmen. Good equipment is very important for raids. But they are too expensive for low-rank hunters to afford, so he makes the equipment into the Guild's property that will be provided to their Hunters for raids.

Other Guilds think that it's a waste of money and resources to provide equipment even for low-rank hunters. It's actually already a waste of money to recruit E-Ranks to raid E-Rank Gates in their opinions.

But the result speaks for itself. Moon Rabbit has become one of the biggest Guilds in the world and they are still growing.

Well, actually the biggest reason why Indra recruited even E-Rank hunters was because he needed materials from E-Rank dungeons too. By materials, he means the monster remains and even their equipment if they are monsters like goblins that can use weapons.

This is related to why he also recruited a lot of production class hunters. It's because he needs a lot of monster materials for his experiments. He needs quantity over quality, so even E-Rank monsters are important to him.

His experiments are about using his Rune Magic on equipment. Rune Magic is very versatile and can give different effects depending on the combinations.

So he thought it could be used on equipment and tried it. The result is very positive. Rune Magic can be used to strengthen equipment and even give them properties like heat, bleed, poison, etc.

He used his Rune Magic on the equipment directly at first, only using his mana to carve the runes. But the effects couldn't last long, so he tried using monster blood to write the runes and it showed a better result.

There are still more things he wants to try, that's why he needs a lot of monster materials. If his main project succeeds, then mankind will have a much easier time facing the monsters.

He's glad he has the [Clone] skill because he has so many things to do. And he's also glad he can keep getting stronger through the use of his Rune Magic on the hunters' equipment.

Assisting hunters to kill monsters is giving him XP too. He thought it was just limited to when he uses buffs on hunters, debuffs on monsters, and when he is close enough to the monsters when they die to absorb their magic power that will turn into XP.

Turns out that he still gets XP even if he is very far away as long as he is involved with the monsters' death. So he still gets XP because of his Rune Magic that is used on the hunters' equipment.

He found out the reason when he contacted Jin Woo. Indra and Jin Woo have talked through the phone frequently since Indra's talk with Il Hwan after the S-Rank raid.

So he asked about this matter and Jin Woo explained that his Rune Magic on the equipment is creating a connection between him and the monster. That connection is like a path.

When the monsters die, their magic power will move toward Indra through that path. But the amount won't be as big as when he is closer to the monsters because some magic power will leak on the way.

It doesn't just apply to the monsters. When he buffs hunters, he is also creating connections with them. After all, the connections with the monsters are through these hunters that get his buffs or help through the enchanted equipment he made.

So when these hunters die, their magic power will also move toward Indra and get absorbed by the system. This is the reason why he got a lot of XP when Kamish killed the S-Rank Hunters. He was buffing all of them, so there were links between them.

That's why Jin Woo told him to keep refining his Rune Magic to enchant equipment. If he perfects it, then he will keep getting XP every day when his enchanted equipment is used to kill monsters.

He needs power, a lot of power. But there is a limit to hunting monsters alone. As his level gets higher, it will be harder to get XP. That's why this method of getting XP for his growth will help him a lot.

Furthermore, it will help mankind as a whole. They can't do anything with the Hunters' power that will never grow like Indra. So what they can do is to give the Hunters better equipment to face the incoming danger.

"You and Odin really have thought that far ahead, huh?"

Indra is talking with Jin Woo through the phone to talk about a few things.

"How is your recovery progress?"

"Why don't you register? You should already have recovered enough power to be an S-Rank, right?"

"Well, maybe it's time for you to show up. I've finished what you asked for."

"Haha, yeah, it's simpler than I thought. I've done a few tests too and it works really well."

"I know. I'm always careful."
