Chapter 61 - 61. Last Plan

Because of the barrier, the Dragon's Fire Breath is burning the Dragon itself. That's why it quickly stops the Fire Breath to stop hurting itself.

Indra is healing himself quickly because he took some damage from that tail attack. He wants to heal the others, but they all are too far apart now. That tail attack sent everyone flying in different directions.

While healing, Indra checks his status screen because his level suddenly increases by 4. He raised just 1 level when he raided Gates with his sister for her training and to complete the requirements to build a Guild.

In those raids, he almost didn't kill any monsters, but he still got enough XP to raise 1 level. Just supporting others to kill the monsters gives him almost the same XP as when he kills the monsters himself.

He thought that his XP gains would be reduced a lot if he didn't kill the monsters himself. But it's not the case and he assumes it's because he is the only one who can absorb the monsters' magic power as XP to get stronger.

No one else can do that, so it's understandable that all the XP will be taken by him, not divided for all party members like in those RPG games.

'Wait! Only I can absorb magic power and convert them into XP to grow stronger. But just now I suddenly got a lot of XP even though the Dragon isn't dead yet. The ones who died were the Hunters who couldn't withstand that Tail attack. Don't tell me I absorbed those dead Hunters' magic power and turned it into XP to level up?'

Indra makes a speculation that surprises himself. After all, he thought he needed to be the one killing the creatures with magical power to absorb their power.

'Tsk! There's no time for this. I will need to need Jin Woo soon to ask about this issue. But for now, I need to end this damn Dragon.'

The Red Dragon is thrashing around in the barrier, trying to break it. Indra is running towards the barrier. The other hunters who still can move are also getting closer to the barrier.

As Indra thought, only the 11 Super S-Ranks are still able to fight. Even the 3 Mages are in better condition than the average S-Rank Tanks.

"Come here! Let me heal all of you first."

Everyone comes closer to Indra to get healed. Then just like Indra, the others are curious about how the Mages defended themselves. They know Indra must've used his Barrier Magic, but what about the 3 Mages with lower defense than melee fighters?

"I can transform my body into a fire which allows me to reduce a lot of impact. But I still can't control this ability perfectly, so I can't do it all the time yet."

Reed is the first to explain. Indra nods as he knows it must be Reed's Spiritual Body Manifestation that he gets as a Ruler's Vessel.

"As for me, I was creating a strong rotating wind ball to cover myself. Indra's barrier inspired me, so I was trying to make something similar while we waited for the raid time and it worked quite well. It got destroyed, but it could reduce the impact a lot, so I was saved."

Egypt's Dina Fayek explains how she defended the attack as the only Wind Mage here. Indra is reminded of Avatar Aang's skill when she explained.

"I have a skill called Fire Shield."

Ghana's Kwasi Wale only gives a very short explanation, but they all understand. Well, it's normal for Mages to have defensive skills, so it's not that surprising.

The other average S-Rank Mages must've also used their defensive skills. But they weren't as strong as these 3 whose defensive skills can protect them better than even average S-Rank Tanks.

"Alright, guys, listen, I have a plan."

Indra is telling them his plan while healing them. The Dragon is trapped inside his barrier, so they can talk about their plan.

"As you see, my barrier can hold that Dragon, but that's it. We can't trap that thing forever, we need to kill it."

Everyone obviously agrees.

"Good. So I have a skill I call Ultimate Debuff. It can lower my target's overall power by half or more depending on the target's power. But I can only do it on a monster with lower mana than me. I can feel that its mana has been reduced a lot. Just a little more and I can use this skill. But the biggest problem is I need to touch the monster, so I need you to hold that Dragon down."

"If it has lower mana than you, then can't we just kill it by then because it's already weak?"

Brazil's Jonas asks something that is bugging everyone's mind.

"Well, if that means you want to face at least 10 of the Fire Breath that destroyed this city, then you can do that."

"What the fuck?! 10 of that breath?"

Of course, they are shocked by that. It means that not only Indra can sense the Dragon's mana almost accurately, he can even calculate how mana it needs for its attacks.

"Furthermore, even if it runs out of mana, do you think you can handle its physical power? Even without mana, I'm sure that Dragon is powerful enough to destroy another city."

They fall into deep thoughts after Indra says that. But they miss an important point. Indra said that his target needs to have lower mana than him and the Dragon's mana is almost reduced to that level.

That means Indra's current mana is enough to also use almost 10 of that Fire Breath. But no one realizes this because they are too focused on defeating the Dragon now.

Though Indra also hides a few things. He doesn't really need to touch the Dragon. But he needs the Dragon to stay still so that it will be much easier to Devour its power.

Yes, Indra plans to use his Devour skill that he got along with his Awakener skills. Using it on live targets will give him more magic power than doing it on dead targets.

He obviously can't waste a Dragon's abundant magic power. Just imagining how much XP he'll get from Devouring this Dragon's magic power is making him excited.

After everyone is ready, Indra buffs them and dispels the barrier. The Tanks quickly use their Taunt skill to get the Dragon's attention. Their skills work well with all the buffs from Indra.

Then the melee fighters are attacking the Dragon's legs. They are focusing on its ankles to stop its movements while the Mages are attacking its wings to prevent it from flying.

Meanwhile, Dewi is not joining the melee fighters. She is standing with Indra. Her job is to carry Indra onto the Dragon's back so he can use his skill there.

He actually doesn't need her help, but he still wants to hide his true power. Even revealing his Barrier Magic was a tough decision. But it still can be seen as a support skill, so he decided to reveal it.

Revealing his physical power is another thing. Furthermore, he also still has some magic he can use. If the world knows those, then they might fear him and it's not a good thing for the main plan to save the Earth.

Indra focuses on sensing the Dragon's mana. The Super S-Rank Hunters' attacks reduce its mana quite well because it needs mana to harden its scales even further.

Then suddenly, the Dragon wants to shoot another Fire Breath. They have made a plan to stop the Fire Breath.

First, the Tanks and Melee Fighters retreat to where Indra and the Mages are. Then the 3 Mages combine their spells again and shoot a powerful Fire Pillar to the incoming Fire Breath.

Both attacks collide and the fire from both sides spreads in the middle. The Tanks are blocking the scattered fire caused by the collision.

"IT USES MORE MANA THAN USUAL. I THINK I CAN USE MY DEBUFF SPELL AFTER THIS ATTACK."

The others nod when they hear Indra. But then they see the Mages' combination attack is getting pushed back.

"HOLD YOUR GROUND, MAGES! IF YOU LOSE WE'LL ALL DIE."

Thomas shouts to the Mages.

"NO CAN DO! WE ALREADY USE ALL OF OUR POWER."

The Mages have reached their limits, so Indra gives another order.

"IL HWAN! ZHIGANG! HIT THAT DRAGON'S JAW FROM BELOW!"

They immediately understand what Indra wants to do. So Il Hwan and Zhigang quickly move toward the Dragon. They run around the collision impact at a high speed and arrive below the Dragon's jaw in a short time.

Then without any signal, they jump toward the jaw and swing their swords as strongly as possible. Their attacks push the jaw up, forcing the Dragon to close its mouth which then stops the Fire Breath.

They quickly jump away to avoid the Mages' combination attack that flies toward the Dragon's head. It hits and the Dragon screams in pain because of it.
