Indra finally passes level 100 and even becomes level 101. Of course, he gets new skills, but the skills at level 100 aren't ordinary. They might even be the most important skills he needs for his future plans. Also, he receives another important thing.
[Congratulations! You receive a 2nd job and new skills.]
[2nd job: Awakener.]
[2nd job exclusive skills: Appraisal, Power Unlock, Soul Contract.]
[New skills: Devour (Level 1), Telepathy (Level 1), Ruler's Authority (Level 1)]
[Appraisal: Discovering living beings' or items' statistics and potential.]
[Power Unlock: Unlocking target's true potential. Used to awaken normal humans and increase awakener's power.]
[Soul Contract: Forming contracts with souls as collateral and blood as a medium. No one can violate the Soul Contract and attempts to violate the contract can lead to death.]
[Devour: Devouring target's magic power and turning it into stats. Can be used on beings with magic that have died or are weaker than the user. Upon usage on living beings, the devoured magic power will be permanently taken from the targets, so please use it with caution.]
[Telepathy: Communicating with others through mind.]
[Ruler's Authority: Controlling objects without touching them. Can be used on living beings, but limited to those weaker than the user.]
Awakener, it's the power that Indra proposed to Jin Woo and Odin to help them save Earth. He got this idea because he remembered the old lady that can upgrade awakener's power, Normal Selner.
Her ability is a great deal in the world where awakeners can't get stronger and if used well, it can change many things. Too bad, her ability has a lot of restrictions and drawbacks. She can increase an awakener's power by 20%-30%, but there are steps to it and it consumes too much of her mana, so she can only upgrade 3-4 hunters a year.
Indra's skill, however, can be used to awaken people who haven't awakened yet and upgrade the power of awakeners. It doesn't just upgrade the awakener's power, it can even make unawakened people awaken their power.
But how much he can upgrade depends on their true potential. Each person has different potential or limits on how strong they will be. People usually only awaken 70-80% of their true potential in natural awakening, that's why Norma Selner can only upgrade their power by 20-30%.
The problem is it requires a lot of mana to upgrade their power because basically the upgrader needs to open the door that limits their power and fills the empty unlocked room with their magic power or the door will close again.
Norma Selner used her power to upgrade S-Rank hunters that get scouted by the USA. S-Rank hunters are very powerful and have much more magic power than Norma. She doesn't have enough mana to fill just their 20-30% of magic power, that's why she needs to do it a few times for each hunter and needs to rest for a rather long time.
It's all because she doesn't have a sufficient amount of mana. But it shouldn't be the case for Indra who has an S-Rank Mage's level of mana. Filling 20-30% of other S-Rankers' magic power won't take too much of his mana.
But that's only the case for upgrading. Awakening will take a lot of his mana because he will fill 100% of the target's magic power. The targets don't have any magic power yet and when he unlocks their potential, he will need to fill their magic power from 0% to 100%.
If upgrading is making an already filled glass full to the brim. Then awakening is filling an empty glass. So of course the quantities of mana needed are different. Although the amount still depends on the size of the glasses.
"I want to try these skills so badly, especially the Powe Unlock. But I need to go home quickly. The sun will show up soon."
He manages to clear the dungeon before the villagers come out of their houses. Then he quickly returns home because it's already past 4 a.m. He arrives at home right before breakfast time, so he can eat his mom's cooking.
But he is dead tired, so he sends a clone to school while he sleeps at home. He sleeps in the attic though because his mom always cleans all the rooms in the house after everyone leaves. She will find him if he sleeps in his room.
The attic is dark and dirty because it's not used as a room. So Indra needs to prepare a few things to sleep there like planks as the floor, a small tent to keep the dust and insects away, and a mattress. Those are things he has prepared in case he gets trapped in dungeons, but now he uses them to hide from his mom, in their house's attic nonetheless.
Indra switches back with his clone in the afternoon after the clone arrives at home. He has wanted to do something since he received his new skills, which is checking his family members' potential using his Appraisal skill.
All his new 2nd job skills don't have levels. They are maxed from the beginning, so he can use their full power immediately. That's why what he'll see with Appraisal is the true results.
The 1st one he checks is his little brother who goes home with his clone. However, the result is just question marks for all aspects. Then there is an explanation at the bottom, explaining that Rama is still too young and hasn't uncovered his potential.
'Hmm, so 10 years old is still too young to awaken. Is it because their bodies are still growing? But I'm also still at a growing age and I think there are teenagers that awaken too. I wonder what's the limit for this 'too young' reason. Seems like I need to do research on this so I will know who I can and can't check.'
Indra then checks his mom's potential after she goes home from work. Unfortunately, she only has a D-Rank potential with archer job. But it's not like she will be a hunter even if she awakens, or more like Indra won't allow it as it is too dangerous, so it doesn't really matter.
He will get a lot of money once he works as an S-Rank hunter, after all. So his parents won't need to do dangerous jobs such as being hunters. But it's still a good thing if they awaken because that means they will have some power to protect themselves no matter how small it is.
When his dad & sister go home, Indra also checks their potential. His dad has a better potential than his mom. He can be a C-Rank and his job is actually an alchemist, which is very rare compared to battle-type awakeners.
It is a good profession, so Indra will awaken his dad if his dad wants it. Of course, he will only tell his family about his power once he has enough power to protect them all. So it will be after the Kamish raid at the fastest or even 1 or 2 years after that.
However, that plan might change because of his sister's potential. She actually has the potential to be an S-Rank. He still doesn't know how it is compared to the S-Rankers all over the world because he never seen any S-Rank awakeners yet, so he doesn't know their average stats.
Still, even being a weaker S-Rank is a great feat already. And rather than her potential rank, Indra is more concerned about her profession. It is written as 'Shape Shifter - Moon Rabbit' in the Appraisal result. He doesn't exactly know what it is, but he has a guess.
His guess is she will get a similar power to Baek Yoon Ho, the White Tiger. She will be able to transform into a humanoid rabbit. Although he doesn't know what's special about Moon Rabbit. It might have a unique power considering it's not just Rabbit, but Moon Rabbit.
Regardless, his sister will be an important figure in the future as an S-Rank. But he hopes that she won't awaken before the 1st S-Rank Gate appears because he doesn't want her to join the raid as she will be an S-Rank if she awakens.
