The first day of class turned out a bit eventful. As new students, all year one students were meant to have been given an orientation tour but due to the entrance examination catastrophe it was postponed to today.
Nefeli a year four students was in charge of the tour, She seemed nice but at the same time gave off a quite dominating aura.
"In here, is the training hall." Nefeli said
"Each class has its own designated training hall, which is also divided into levels." She explained.
Nefeli walked out the door and Carla alongside Atlas and the others followed closely behind.
Carla couldn't help but study Nefeli closely, something seemed very off about her, but what exactly, she couldn't place her hands on." Atlas who had been watching Carla got a bit worried
"Are you alright?"
"uhm yeah, its just….im not really feeling Nefeli's vibes."
Atlas rubbed his chin "Same with me."
Carla let out a sigh of relief 'Good thing someone shares similar instincts with me.'
"Why don't we just head on with the others and watch out for anything suspicious."
Atlas nodded
Nefeli stopped in front of two huge metal doors, at the top two golden daggers cris crossed hung firmly. The schools personal crest
"Sabari!" Nefeli called out and the doors gently opened revealing a spacious hall with chairs and a podium at the epicenter.
"This is the end of the tour, I'll be taking my leave now, you all take your seats and wait. The teachers in charge of year one will brief you all shortly."
Nefeli walked away, while the students took their sits.
After a few minutes the teachers arrived through another door. As soon as they entered all the students went silent. One of the teachers mounted the stage.
"Good day everyone, welcome to Arista Academy. My name is Melissa, today I will be conveying a little bit of information so for your own good please pay attention." Melissa stated, her eyes glaring at each and every section of the hall.
"You will be divided into two arms, class A and class B. By now a card should have appeared in your front. These cards can either be blue or green. If its green then you're a class a student, but if i9ts blue you're a class B student." Melissa paused, giving the students time to identify the colour of their card.
Whispers resounded amongst the students. Those who were in the same class as their friends hugged excitedly while those who weren't, grumbled, slightly annoyed with the school.
"Class A" Carla waved her card to Atlas.
"Same" He replied with a grin.
"Silence!" Melissa commanded.
Every single student went silent, and for a moment some held their breath scared to breathe. She exuded so much authority, and the aura radiating around her was screaming don't mess with me.
"If you got a got a green card move to the right, and if you got a blue card move to the left. There are two teachers, one on the right, the other on the left. They are your class teachers, the remaining details will be passed to you by them."
Just as instructed all students moved to were their class teacher stood. Half walked to the left, the other half to the right of which Atlas and Carla were among.
Their class teacher a handsome strong man dressed in black apparel stood there patiently waiting until everyone arrived. Unlike the others he didn't wear a friendly smile instead he gave them this *I'm going to kill you type of stare*. This made the class A students to feel uneasy.
"Follow me " He instructed turning around. Some students found this strange.
"He didn't even bother introducing himself" A student complained
"Yeah, he should have at least welcome us." Another replied
The teacher ignored their comments and walked into a classroom, at the top the word *Amber* was boldly written. The classroom looked normal which came as a shock to the new students because they had expected this class to be as exquisite as the others they had passed on their way here. Also the class teachers gets to pick whatever choice of class they liked so if he had actually chosen this class out of all the others shouldn't he be called a mad man.
Worst of it all, the class had worn out furniture and was completely covered in dirt and dust.
"My name is Damian Sebastain, obviously I'm the class teacher of class A. this is the classroom that has been designated to you students by me." Sebastain stated plainly "In this academy...."
Before he could finish his statement the same students from earlier who had complained interrupted him.
"This is not classy enough for me, like how do you think my fans out there would think of me if I make some videos in this shithole."
"Girll you are so right like wha is this? Ya'll are way out of our league. For your info we cant be seen hanging out with people like you all especially you Sebas…."
Slam!
"Kneel!" Sebastain commanded.
"Excuse me we aren't going to kn…" Before she could finish her statement, they both dropped to their knees, spiting out a mouthful of blood. The duo clutched their throats gasping for air.
All the students stared in shock, Sebastian eyes were now totally black, the furniture around him had totally disintegrated.
Sebastain walked up to the students, using his foot to pin them down. "Nicole and Selena, you dare to make trouble on your first day. I'm going to let you off with a warn, never you or anyone in this class ever disobey or hesitate to carry out my orders. Do I make myself clear?"
"Y..ye..yes sir" The students replied trembling under his intense gaze. Carla smiled, the fear in her heart increasing with every second she stared at him.
By now Sebastain's eyes were returning to their normal colour. He took his foots of the two students who still lay there frightened. He ignored them and turned back to the other students, to his surprise one of them stood there smiling him even though fear could be evidently seen in her eyes.
Carla maintained eye contact with him, her smile glued to her face. Sebastain studied her for a while still stunned something about her seemed familiar. He pushed his thoughts aside, and quickly instructed all the students to clean the classroom. On his way out he paused and turned back, "Lest I forget, in this academy you pay for almost everything ranging from accommodation to others. Even the light and water you use in this academy will be paid for using something called 'points'. You have all been given a total of two thousand points for a start. These points are not hard to earn, and will be renewed every end of the month.
Finally, by tomorrow you should ensure to come with your training clothes and a competitive spirit. Lateness will not be taken lightly." Sebastain concluded walking out of the classroom.
Even with his absence nobody dared to utter a word, instead they started cleaning the classroom in pairs.
Carla and Atlas stared at each other both thinking the same thing.
'somethings off about this school, and we have got to figure out what as soon as possible.'
