Chapter 94 - How can I still go see Celine like this?

After a tense moment, Miss Esmée appeared somewhat disheveled, with traces of tears lingering in the corners of her eyes and her short hair slightly tousled.

A warmth emanated from her neck, and sweat dampened her bangs, likely due to the inadequate temperature control in the car, as the girl's cheeks remained flushed throughout.

It was evident that Mr. Jonas' recommended method of relieving tension through exercise seemed a bit excessive.

And after exercising, it's only natural to replenish nutrients.

Mr. Jonas thoughtfully produced a carton of milk and watched as the girl drank it down.

Well, at least milk is quite refreshing. After finishing the carton, the girl couldn't help but give Jonas a glance, a few drops of white liquid lingering at the corner of her mouth.

Seeing the girl's adorable and naive appearance, Jonas couldn't help but smile. He pointed to his own mouth, indicating the milk residue, and the girl, upon realizing, blushed and promptly used her fingers to remove the remaining milk from her lips.

—"How can I meet Celine looking like this?"

With that thought, Miss Esmée's face grew even redder. She stole a glance at Jonas beside her, finding him still smiling carefreely.

Indeed, that's Mr. Jonas' style.

These small incidents along the journey didn't affect their time together too much...

After the planned two hours, the black sedan finally arrived at the Weiting Hospital in the Erlise District.

........

Inside the ward, Miss Celine was engrossed in watching the latest quarterly animation projected on the tablet in front of her.

Although it was somewhat ironic that the first thing the girl did upon waking from her coma was to watch cartoons, considering her previous behavior, it was understandable.

After all, there wasn't much else for Miss Celine to do in the ward. The only things she had to pass the time, comics and games, had been confiscated by Mr. Jonas, leaving the poor girl to resort to pirated anime resources online.

Well, not exactly wholesome animations, as Miss Celine, being a connoisseur of pure love, preferred works that had a hint of color, reflecting her soul's choices.

After all, ■■ is an essential part of sublimating emotions; how could a pure love enthusiast abandon this vital aspect?

Pure love and ■■, both are necessary for completeness!

Formerly, Miss Celine's tastes could be described as embracing all things, including some themes touching on ethics.

But now, Miss Celine had developed a more specific preference for thematic content... such as "Kissing in Front of the Sister, Brother-in-law," "Stepbrother, You Don't Want to Know About Us, Right?" and similar titles.

This subtle shift in preferences led Miss Celine to focus more on ethical-themed works, like the one she was currently engrossed in...

The male lead in the plot developed inappropriate feelings for his wife's younger sister. On a rainy summer night, unable to resist his inner emotions, the male lead engaged in unspeakable acts with his frail sister-in-law.

As time passed, their relationship became increasingly distorted.

Until one day, while making cream puffs together in the ward, their sister's keen perception finally exposed the abnormality in their relationship...

A very clichéd story, but one that Miss Celine enjoyed nonetheless.

Not only because the younger sister's attributes in the plot resonated with reality... but also because the story ended with a clichéd happy ending.

The production was excellent, and the art style matched Miss Celine's preferences perfectly.

This was her third time revisiting the classic storyline.

As she was engrossed in it, the door of the ward suddenly opened.

The unexpected sound startled her, and she looked towards the door, relieved upon recognizing the visitor.

—"Oh, it's Mr. Jonas."

Thinking of her own actions just now, the girl felt a bit strange, but she didn't show it, only adding a faint blush to her cheeks.

She was about to speak when she noticed a black-haired girl entering behind Jonas.

Miss Celine's expression stiffened, and she became flustered, quickly hiding the tablet under the blanket.

"Sister, Mr. Jonas, why are you here?"

Miss Esmée didn't notice the girl's small movement, but Jonas glanced at it briefly without revealing anything, just smiling and asking, "Is Miss Celine feeling better?"

Celine's tone was somewhat nervous as she looked at them, and she spoke with a hint of stiffness.

"Um, yes, much better."

As she said this, Celine looked at Miss Esmée behind Jonas and keenly noticed something amiss.

The latter's behavior was somewhat unusual, arousing the girl's suspicion.

Before either of them could respond, she preemptively asked, "Sister...? What's wrong with you?"

Hearing this, Miss Esmée, who was initially delighted to see her younger sister, became somewhat flustered. She was about to speak, but the words got stuck in her mouth, and she stuttered for a while before managing to say something coherent.

Seeing her sister's reaction, Celine became even more suspicious. She furrowed her brows and leaned closer to Miss Esmée, sniffing lightly.

Miss Esmée felt a bit nervous at Celine's actions. She instinctively wanted to dodge backward but ended up leaning against the wall directly.

Listening to the conversation between the two, Jonas felt somewhat helpless.

It seemed neither the sister nor the younger one was good at hiding their emotions, huh?

Miss Celine's behavior was peculiar, and Miss Esmée's was even more obvious. Both harbored thoughts that were not easy to conceal, to the extent that Jonas could easily see through their minds with a single glance.

However, Jonas seemed to have no intention of intervening, merely watching the interaction between the sisters calmly.

As Celine's body drew closer, Miss Esmée could only raise her head and close her eyes, looking resigned.

"Sister, before you came...?"

There was a hint of suspicion in Celine's tone as she looked at Miss Esmée and, noticing the pounding of her heart, said, "Before you came, you should have sprayed perfume, right?"

"Eh—?"
