"Recognize yourself, Ruequiel Tans," said Tianyu's tone was quite calm, as if she didn't take the other's words to heart. In fact, she viewed the other as nothing more than a tactless and short-sighted brute. Despite possessing talents beyond ordinary reach, her character doomed her to failure.
"It's you who needs to recognize yourself, Miss Tianyu," although Ruequiel didn't care much about Tianyu's unfriendly tone, she simply turned to face Tianyu, looking into her eyes, and asked with some confusion, "What are you afraid of?"
"It's not me who's afraid, it's that you simply don't understand him, Ruequiel." Tianyu felt a headache coming on. Faced with such an unyielding teammate, she couldn't help but worry about the upcoming plans.
Ruequiel Tans, a character one might aptly describe as lawless. Having learned some secret arts in Dongying, she possessed exceptional talent in assassination, even to the extent of being considered gifted. The art of ninjutsu itself was well-known in Dongying, but due to its stringent teaching conditions, Ruequiel's learning could be considered somewhat illicit.
As a result, she had single-handedly killed thirteen pursuers, her fellow disciples, in Dongying. The head of this ninjutsu clan had no choice but to acknowledge Ruequiel's status as his disciple.
However, due to offending a prominent figure in Dongying, she was relentlessly pursued into the wilderness and had to cross over into District 25. Yet, even after arriving in District 25, she didn't cease her actions. Her first deed was to kill an executive officer of the peacekeeping forces, causing a sensation throughout District 25.
Despite the peacekeeping forces initiating a Class B manhunt, Ruequiel remained elusive. Consequently, she entered the Destiny Organization and became a special operations member. In less than a year, she earned the title bestowed by the members of District 25 factions: "Nightmare."
She was also one of the highest-ranking operatives within the Destiny Organization.
Although Ruequiel's combat prowess was commendable, Tianyu wasn't particularly fond of having her as a teammate. After all, Ruequiel's temperament was too impulsive, with a high probability of disrupting her original plans.
After the events of last time, Tianyu's temperament became extremely focused on stability. Any factors that could potentially affect the plan were discarded by her.
But this time, there was no alternative. After all, Ruequiel herself was a part of the plan, and losing her would significantly decrease the chances of success.
Given these considerations, Tianyu could only compromise.
"I admit I indeed don't understand him," Ruequiel's tone was somewhat relaxed. Seated on Tianyu's bed, she casually tossed a dagger in her hand and asked, "But as long as he's still a human, I can find a way to kill him."
With those words, Ruequiel nonchalantly pinned the dagger to the wall. Her voice turned indifferent as she continued, "Tianyu, you've grown weak, and it disappoints me."
Tianyu was momentarily speechless at the accusation. She didn't know how to correct Ruequiel.
The girl was inherently self-centered, viewing any form of instruction as excuses. After all, under the premise that Jonas could be killed, anything cautionary she said would be deemed irrelevant.
Such an extremely self-centered assassin, yet an indispensable part of the plan.
"I don't deny your perspective..." Tianyu rubbed her temples and continued, "But before the plan commences, you must listen to me..."
She paused, then lifted her head to add, "No unnecessary actions."
"That depends on my mood," Ruequiel grinned, "You can't order me around, little cupcake."
With that, Ruequiel's figure gradually blurred until she disappeared from the spot.
Left on the bed were only a holographic video device and a recording device.
Tianyu's heart sank gradually. She looked to the side, where the dagger was deeply embedded in the wall. At the tip of the dagger was a fly's wing.
.....
Ruequiel walked somewhat boredly down the street, occasionally blowing a pink bubblegum bubble.
Truth be told, she didn't feel much pressure about this mission.
After all, at the end of the day, it was just killing people, and Ruequiel had never missed a shot in her life.
To her, how many people she killed and who they were was just a matter of how many times she swung her blade.
Perhaps some people met their end at the first glance of her, while others could hold out longer. But in the end, there was only one result: death.
District 25 held nothing new for her. Just like in Dongying, everyone was a different kind of animal in her eyes—pigs awaiting slaughter, cowardly cattle, greedy rats. Ruequiel hadn't encountered many people who could pose a threat to her, and Tianyu Miss was one of the few.
She was like a soaring falcon in the sky, brave and intimidating.
But since the last incident, she had lost that edge, becoming timid and ordinary.
It was like a luxurious ornament stripped of its glory, leaving one disappointed.
Ruequiel rarely held expectations for people, and Miss Tianyu was one of the lucky few.
Unfortunately, the other party didn't live up to her expectations, instead becoming mediocre and timid.
So, she decided to personally meet the heir of the Weiting Consortium... the one who had turned Tianyu into the culprit she was now.
Jonas Weiting.
Danger... she never believed in such a thing.
She only trusted her instincts.
Ruequiel tossed the coin in her hand into the air. After spinning in the air a dozen times, the silver coin landed on the back of her hand.
And the final result was... heads.
Ruequiel couldn't help but smile.
Her instincts had never failed her.
So, let Miss Tianyu see just how incapable her feared enemy truly was.
With blood and vengeance, she would help Miss Tianyu reclaim her edge.
As for Miss Tianyu's prohibition against unnecessary actions before the plan started?
Come on, who would care about that?
