Mizu and Kaze traveling deeper and deeper within the fog covered forest start to notice a thicker more unnatural feel to the area. "Wait stop, ready your weapon Lord!" Mizu states as he pulls out his axes, they suddenly are found surrounded by giant serpent like creatures with glowing eyes. One goes in for a bite as Kaze slices its head clean off, Mizu is seen pushing a head back with his axes. Poison drips from one of the fangs landing on Mizu's arm which surprisingly burns him a bit. "Be careful, they have some really strong venom." Mizu says as he quickly wipes it off.
More and more of these creatures just keep appearing as Kaze and Mizu must of slain a few dozen of them, carcasses, snake heads and parts scatter the ground below. "Damn, there is no end to them, suddenly swiftly from each side they are met by two giant snakes one black the other white. "Damn." Mizu scoffs as he prepares to dodge an incoming strike from the giant snake. "Enough!" a voice echoes throughout the forest.
The snakes stop and recede back to where they come from. "Sato, and Satomi, seems you been busy. Why would you bring demon spawn to this forest?" A voice appears. "Mizu, how rudely to kill our pets." Satomi states. "Satomi look! He did it, he found him." Sato points as the two come face to face with Kaze and Mizu. "Lord Kaze." Both bow before him.
A few ways back we look in on Leo and Lance in the infirmary hooked up to various machines as they lay dormant and unable to respond, its been about 3 days since that battle. "They are improving but who ever did this to them, had to of been strong Commander." The doctor states as we see in a few rooms over they brought in Silvia and Dwargin and seem to be questioning them. As they have no answers as they simply state that they thought Mizu and Kaze were simply drifters. A bout a week after the battle we see Lance open his eyes and sit up in the hospital bed. "Commander, they were just so strong." Lance states as he looks over to Leo who seems to be unconscious but thrashing about and sweating profusely. "I know, no need to worry, though I am placing you two up for re-assignment. That being into my Division. "We can make out a manly faint voice from the Commander through the glass window.
The Commander is seen walking away. Lance worried about his brother looks over to him as if he is staring into his soul. "Brother will you be okay?" Lance asks under his breath. Within Leo's mind we can see him staring up at Mizu who has just cursed his eye. "I can't move!" He begins to shout to himself as no sound comes out. Mizu's eyes begin to glow orange, then a set of red eyes comes out, then seemly in synchrony glowing eyes begin to pop out of every which way as Leo is imagining himself paralyzed within a darkened forest. "Aaaaah" Leo snaps out of bed and wakes Lance. "Brother..." Lance gets up to go over towards Leo's side. Present day, it seems to be a cool misty night we see that after about a week walking through the forest, the man Sato and woman Satomi have led Kaze and Mizu to an ancient shrine within the center of the forest. "This is the shrine of Dao." The shrine reams with mystical power around it lay 8 Pillars of various colors, in the center a stone monolith with a yin and yang symbolism to it. Kaze reaches to place his hand and is whisked into a strange vision.
