Elara felt a touch on her palm. Alric was rubbing his fingers with a glint in his eyes. He raised a brow at her and she nodded, stood up.
Inhaling a breath as if the room did not have any air left, she walked toward the stage. She could feel every single eye on her.
Full of confusion, curiosity, disdain, frown and even shock. But all of them were looking at her as she crossed the long line of guests sitting around and reached for the stage.
The emcee looked at the young and beautiful noblewoman in confusion.
"If you do not mind.." with a sweet and charming voice, Elara started, "i can give the canceled performance."
The voice did not belong to her. The smile neither and nor the way she blinked her eyes and looked naive and seductive at the same time. Eleara in the past was honest and blunt. She did not have the charm of a woman but the naivety of a young girl and desire to be a knight.
