"I should not trust you?" Alric chuckled but his eyes were sharp and calculating like always.
"You have no reason to trust me. Have you?" she asked back instead, her eyes reluctantly moving from the scenery outside to his face only to see his face losing the smile slowly.
"You are wrong, I have a reason to trust you." That surprised her. Because she did not have a reason to trust herself. How could he have one?
Seeing the questions emerging in her eyes, he shook his head.
"How i wait for a long time to see emotions on your inanimate face. But each time I see them, I only feel regret." he sighed and closed his eyes.
"I trust you because you remind me of myself." he did not open his eyes to meet her face. But he continued, "my father was a coward and greedy person. He did not treat his family, his sons as a family but assets that could be sold and bought for his benefit.
