THIRD PERSON'S POV
Valencia was feeling nervous.
The thought of meeting the pack members had unsettled her since morning when they left to go to the designated place where Jason had called her.
"Everything will be fine, Mitsuki. They'll like you," Maverick said, squeezing her hand comfortingly. Valencia smiled in appreciation.
After reconciling with his brother the night before, Maverick had asked Alfonso if he wanted the Alpha position, but Alfonso politely declined.
In his eyes, his younger brother was doing a better job of handling the pack. With Valencia already expecting, he couldn't bear to take on the next Alpha heir by assuming the position.
Besides, the rogue life had made it difficult for him to adapt to pack life, and he needed time to mingle with others, the pack members, and earn their trust altogether.
