VALENCIA'S POV
"When did you decide to tell me about being a witch?" I asked Alina once the skinwalkers were dealt with.
Alina looked at me with a strained smile before taking a deep breath.
"I am sorry," She whispered, an apologetic expression crossing her face.
Was she apologizing to me for hiding her identity? I wondered before humming.
"It's okay. I understand. Everyone has their reasons. It's just surprising that people around me have been trying to protect me for so long, and I have stayed oblivious to everything," I said.
Alina nodded.
"I am apologizing that I have to hide everything from you. But I assure you that you will find everything when the time is right," Alina said.
Her words made me feel that she was hiding something else from me, and I was about to confront her regarding that when I felt his presence near us.
I cleared my throat, knowing all too well he would reprimand me.
