Emrys was excited; after all, he had found a shortcut to level up. He could directly increase his cultivation by killing these red creatures, and possibly others as well.
However, he failed to notice a very minuscule detail. As he killed the red creatures, a small 'X' mark appeared on his forehead. This mark was red, and ominous energy flashed on it for a moment before disappearing.
Emrys was completely unaware that something menacing had already marked him, and he was about to encounter a catastrophe.
Just as Emrys's heart was filled with excitement, a giant tree that was standing tall in the middle of the village suddenly trembled violently. In just a few seconds, the roots of the tree lifted up, causing dust and dirt to fly everywhere. In the midst of the dust and dirt, a giant red creature crawled out and roared at Emrys.
"Roar!"
