Lucifer followed Azazel back to his bedchambers, where Luke was still residing, crafting his documents under the dim flicker of candlelight.
Azazel looked to see Emma seated in the chair across from Luke. She had her nose buried in a book while she sipped on a cup of tea.
Azazel walked behind her and rested his hand on the top of her head. The half-demon smiled up at him.
"How do you feel?" She asked with a gentle smile.
Azazel shrugged and took a seat on the edge of his bed. He braced his arm against his abdomen. He still felt immense pain.
"It's still rather tender," he admitted, though he downplayed the immense pain he felt from the healing wounds.
Emma closed the book, and Lucifer sat in an empty chair next to Luke. She walked over to Azazel. "Let's change the bandages."
He realized there was no point in arguing with the half-demon, whose eyes were filled with affection. He knew enough to know that when Emma wanted to do something, she would press on until she was able.
Azazel removed his jacket and shirt. He laid them on the end of the bed. He prepared himself for the dressing change.
"Good," she smiled softly, grabbing a small box from the corner of the room, which contained spare bandages and first-aid herbs.
Emma positioned herself behind him, sitting on her knees on the bed. Her hands worked to gently remove the bandage wrapped around his abdomen.
Her eyes studied the wounds on his back. She nodded slightly, happy to see that the damage inflicted upon Azazel from his fight against Greg was finally showing signs of healing.
"It's looking better."
Emma gently cleansed the wound with a clean cloth, then applied ointment to the area. She reached around and did the same with the front wounds. After the wounds were treated, she wrapped a new cloth bandage around him.
Azazel looked down at her hands. Her body was pressed against his back as her hands traced along the edge of the bandage.
Emma's hands seemed to linger for much longer than they should have. In response, Azazel grabbed both her hands in his and pulled her closer against his back.
Her cheeks flushed red in response. She thought about moving away, but instead decided to stay behind him. She rested her head against his back.
Azazel could feel her light, warm breaths against his bare skin. He shivered slightly from the sensation. It was enough to drive him crazy.
He was glad she couldn't see his face when she shifted her position behind him. It had put some pressure on the wounds, which caused him to wince momentarily.
Azazel groaned as she lightly adjusted her position. The weight of Emma's body pressed against the top of his shoulders as she sat on the bed behind him.
Azazel knew she probably meant nothing suggestive, yet his aroused thoughts made it into a far different situation.
Lucifer coughed and shifted in his chair, resting his left leg over his right. He frowned slightly in Azazel's direction.
"So, are you finished flirting yet?" He smirked, his red eyes fixating on the couple.
Azazel kept one hand over Emma's and held up the free hand. His red eyes looked toward Lucifer. "Me?"
Lucifer shook his head, still frowning. "Yes, you. I thought you wanted to visit Hell."
I'm not the one who wishes to visit hell. I'd rather you two go without me and give me a moment of peace with Emma.
Luke perked up at the mention of visiting the place he worshiped. He stood up and tucked a thick book full of paper under his arm as a grin spread from ear to ear.
He had spent his entire life thus far researching anything in relation to Hell. Having the ultimate evil lordiness in front of him made Luke excited to no end. He couldn't wait to see the vast depths of the unholy land with his own eyes.
Luke turned to face Lucifer. He kneeled down and bowed his head. "Please, my lord, take me to Hell."
The Lord of Hell smirked as he watched the Hell Scholar bow to him. The action helped reinforce his narcissistic tendencies. Having followers who bowed to him lit a fire in Lucifer's demonic soul. He couldn't help the feelings that ignited inside of him.
"Yes," Lucifer began, his voice low and powerful, causing an echo in the room. "I will let you witness the demonic kingdom."
Luke raised his head. His eyes were glistening with excitement when he heard Lucifer agree. His lifelong dream would become a reality, and he didn't know how to respond. Instead of speaking, Luke crawled forward and began to lick the demon lord's boots.
Lucifer leaned forward in the chair. He looked down at Luke and gave him an approving nod, a smirk creeping across his lips as he watched the Hell Scholar lick his boots.
"That is quite the reaction," Azazel stated dryly as he watched Luke's subservient actions.
Emma nudged Azazel's arms. She looked disgusted as Luke moved to Lucifer's other foot. The Hell Scholar began to lick the dust off the top of the boot. After several moments, he started to gnaw aggressively on the leather.
Azazel shook his head as he watched Luke officially snap.
Lucifer frowned. He kicked his foot forward to ward off Luke. "Eating my shoe will not be tolerated."
Azazel turned to Emma and smirked, flashing his fangs in her direction. "If anyone is to eat something in this room, it will be me."
Emma blushed as she understood the underlying innuendo in Azazel's words. She removed her arms from around him. Slowly, she took a seat next to him on the bed.
Azazel picked up his clothing, redressing himself. He adjusted his jacket after putting it back on. He knew he couldn't accomplish anything with the girl and an audience in the room.
His demonic libido was near exploding at his point. Azazel was certain they wouldn't leave the bed alive if he gave in to the overwhelming, burning passion of his insatiable lust.
It will need to wait for another time, as much as I don't want it to wait. It is such a shame that the two of us have constant interruptions.
"Enough of that," Lucifer snapped as he sensed the tension between Azazel and Emma.
Lucifer stood. He approached the black-haired demon, his eyes glowing a fiery red. He waved his palm in front of him. "You will have time for such things after your wedding."
Azazel had nearly forgotten about the wedding. It hadn't even been planned yet. He remembered proposing with the strange ring Granny had given him, but he never thought about the actual ceremony.
Emma glanced at Azazel. She seemed to be happy about such a scene playing in her head.
Azazel sighed. He knew she would be a beautiful bride. A beautiful bride, which he would totally devour. His heart started pounding from the idea drifting through his mind.
"As soon as possible," Azazel murmured.
Emma brushed her hand against his arm, humming softly at the idea of a wedding.
"Before that, we go to hell," Lucifer reminded them.
"May I plan it while the three of you are gone?" Emma asked with a tone of excitement.
Lucifer shrugged and nodded. "I don't care if you do."
Emma clasped her hands together and rose from the bed. "I will ask my mother and Granny to help then!"
Emma pranced to the door, still humming happily to herself. As she did, Azazel raised a hand. He had to object to the girl finding her mother at the moment, considering she was still behaving like a dommy mommy with Greg.
"Perhaps you should go see Granny," Azazel suggested, not wanting Emma to walk in on such a scene.
Emma tilted her head in confusion. "Why? I was going to ask her to come see Granny with me."
Lucifer looked toward Emma. "She will join you later. She's quite busy at the moment."
Emma sighed and nodded. "Fine. I will go to Granny's cottage first."
With those words, Emma disappeared from the room. Azazel was glad she wouldn't witness Emilia whipping Greg while throwing out insults. He knew it would probably leave a mental scar.
Luke crawled toward Lucifer. He grabbed onto his leg. He looked up at the demon lord, a look of need sparkling in his eyes.
This is kind of gross.
Lucifer shook his leg, causing Luke to let go with a pout. The demon ran his fingers through his blonde hair and looked down at him. "Stand up and be patient," he commanded with a growl.
The Hell Scholar stood up. He tugged at the edge of his white lab coat. He then went to the table and showed his things in the pocket, sighing with disappointment at being pushed away by the man he worshiped.
I cannot wait until this is over and Emma and I can finally...
Azazel's thoughts drifted as he rubbed his aching neck. He was still sore from the clash on the little bridge. Hopefully, by the time they finished in hell, his body would be fully recovered.
"Come over here, both of you," Lucifer commanded as he looked between Luke and Azazel.
Great.
Azazel shrugged and stood up. He approached Lucifer, and Luke did the same. He was curious as to how they would be transferred to the demonic underworld.
Lucifer snapped his fingers. Black smoke manifested, and dark, tentacle-like beings encircled the three of them. A bright, dark-purple light surrounded them.
Before Azazel could even speak, they had been transported to the dark realm of hell.
