Azazel nibbled on a slice of bacon, which Emilia had cooked to perfection. He looked out to the lake, watching as the sun came completely up for the day.
The view from the grassy hill over the lake is always breathtaking, even more so at sunrise.
Emma smiled and hummed as she enthusiastically enjoyed the breakfast. The tried the eggs, which were rolled up into miniature omelets- her absolute favorite way to enjoy eggs.
"Mother made this, didn't she?"
Azazel felt nervous when she asked the question. He didn't want to be a disappointment by not successfully making it himself, but at the same time, he was glad Emilia was willing to make something.
"Ah, yes, she did," Azazel mumbled. "Cooked perfectly, I'd say."
"Why was Mother making breakfast for us?"
Azazel nervously laughed as he looked over at Emma. "Because I burned the first batch of bacon."
Emma chucked and began eating the rice and bacon. "I didn't take you for a cook, so I am not surprised. I bet you have a whole team to cook for you."
Azazel nodded. "Yeah, I hadn't cooked a day in my life. I did bake some digestive biscuits with one of the staff when I was a kid."
Emma leaned forward, looking him in the eyes. "I bet being a king was rough, but with the job, you got to eat the best food!"
Azazel shook his head. "The people of my kingdom had it worse than me, even if I did die for the job. But yes, I always ate well."
"Lucider gave you another chance, so save what you have now!" Emma reached over and gently petted his horn.
No, not the horn...
"Emma, it feels amazing when you touch my horn," he shuddered and pulled her hand off, intertwining it in his own. "But save that for some other time."
I do not want to save it for some other time.
"Is that so?" Emma asked with a smirk.
"No. But I demand you stop smirking. That is my job!" Azazel commanded with a stern look.
"You dare demand the Duchess?" Emma crawled over on her hands and knees, facing him. "The Duchess does what she pleases!"
This position is a bit lewd.
Emma crawled closer. Azazel leaned back. This just encouraged her more. She crawled up onto his lap, nuzzling her face against his neck.
"Emma, my kitten," he sighed. "As much as I would like to be officially engaged in certain activities, it cannot be done right now."
Dear god... I want it to be done right now.
Emma ignored him, gently nipping at his neck. He shifted a little, closing his eyes. The black-haired girl started kissing his neck. "Don't resist~!"
Maybe she is like her mother.
Now panting, Azazel pushed her back a bit. "No, no, I have a surprise."
Still on his lap, Emma tilts her head in confusion. "Seems weird. What could be so important if you stopped me?"
Azazel snickered at her reaction. "Why is that weird?"
Emma crawled back to her spot and crossed her arms against her chest, looking in the other direction. "It could have waited until later."
"I assure you, it cannot wait until later!"
"Could, too!"
"No, definitely not."
Emma sighed.
Azazel's frown furrowed. This is not going as expected.
"Are you angry? He asked.
"No, just disappointed."
I think I know what that translates to when women speak. It's definitely not a good thing.
Hoping it would solve the issues, Azazel pulled out the Bokeball, releasing the undead upon Britannica.
The bunny, now a mere skeleton, jumped forward, landing on Emma's rice. The zombie orc, who still forgot to give back, looked around and took a seat in front of the picnic, basking and sticking his grubby fingers into the pile of bacon.
And the wolf?
"BllarrhhjsWarg! BllarrhhjsWarg!"
The wolf jumped out, frantically running in circles, attempting to chase its tail. It wouldn't hold still. The banner Azazel had struggled to put on the beast was flipped backwards, making it unreadable.
Facepalming was in session.
A smile tugged on Emma's face as she watched the wolf. "What the heck kind of noise is coming from that thing?"
"BllarrhhjsWarg!"
"I have not a clue," Azazel admitted. "It's kind of hysterical."
Emma nodded her head in agreement. She narrowed her eyes and looked at the cloth banner around the wolf's neck. "What is that?"
Azazel shrugged nervously.
The wolf screamed out one more "BllarrhhjsWarg" before charging into the town.
"Oh, damn..." Azazel groaned. "That was not supposed to happen."
Emma, however, thought it was hilarious. She stood up while laughing. She placed her hand above her brow and attempted to see where it had gone. Her eyes widened as she watched.
"Azzy, that thing is out of control!"
A faint "BllarrhhjsWarg" could be heard approaching.
The wolf ran back, holding something in its mouth. That something was one of the undead orcs.
As the wolf was running and howling "BllarrhhjsWarg" over and over, Zeus was running behind it, attempting to catch the beast. His hand was in a fist, flailing in the air.
Zeus jumped forward, grabbing its hind legs. His body dragged on the ground behind it as he clutched the legs as tight as he could.
The beast roared "BllarrhhjsWarg!" as Zeus hung on for dear life. The wolf thrashed around next to the lake. It lifted its head, moving it back and forth rapidly, the undead orc in its mouth waving his arms frantically.
Without notice, the wolf jumped into the water. The water splashed as it bolted into the lake.
Zeus freed himself and started swimming toward the beast. "RELEASE THE ORC YOU BASTARD!"
He waved his fist in the air again. He was upset. The orc had been working hard to help with the restoration of the palace. If he didn't save the orc, he would be down one man to aid in the village's development.
"I need my man! My bro!"
The wolf dog paddled through the water as he thrashed his head around, biting down on the orc. Green blood squirted out of the orc from the bite. Apparently, undead creatures had green goo as blood.
Delightful.
Emma giggled and side-eyeed Azazel. "I'll fix this."
She moved right next to the water and took a deep breath. With a wave of her hand, she summoned a bolt of electricity, aiming it at the wolf.
"Release the orc! Now!"
The wolf was hit directly. The electric bolt sent ripples of shock waves through the water. "BllarrhhjsWarg!!!"
The wolf lost his clench on the orc.
The undead orc started to disappear under the water, with little air bubbles appearing on the surface above him. Orc hands could be seen trying to swim to the surface but failing to float above the water.
The orc flailed and struggled, but apparently undead orcs couldn't swim.
The orc was probably drowning.
Meanwhile, the shockwave hit Zeus, who trembled in the water. "Dammit, girl!" He screamed out after feeling the jolt of electricity course through his body.
This girl is amazing. Is she a wizard, of sorts?
Azazel and Emma watched as the wolf whimpered and slowly doggy paddled out of the lake.
Emma peered out into the lake and watched as the air bubbles began to slowly stop appearing. "That orc is dead. That dog you caught killed it."
Azazel shrugged. That wasn't the game plan, but it was entertaining none the less.
Zeus joined Emilia and Azazel. He shifted his glare over to the orc at the picnic basket. He was shoveling fistfuls of rice into his mouth.
"I can't believe that bastard killed one of my men," Zeus stated, his voice full of anger.
"Sorry, Zeus," Emma stated in a solemn tone. "Life is full of death."
Zeus shook his head and sighed. He marched his body, his pants dripping wet from his dip into the lake, and joined the second undead orc at the picnic area.
He flopped down and began eating pieces of bacon.
"Excellent bacon. Perfectly crispy."
Great. Now there's an audience.
The zombie wolf shook violently, shaking the water from its fur. It lay down on the ground, whimpering.
Emma approached the beast and held out her hand. The wolf gave it a whiff and licked her hand. The girl laughed and squatted down, petting the wolf on the head.
"You smell terrible!"
Well, it is dead.
Azazel, feeling defeated, took a seat on the ground. He watched the two as they interacted.
Emma rubbed the fur in the back of her neck. She noticed the knot on the banner and untied it.
The banner fell to the ground. She turned it over and inspected it, speaking the words out loud. "Emma, will you marry me?"
Emma slowly turned her head to look at Azazel, an evil grin appearing on her face.
When she does that, she really does look like her demon mother.
Azazel placed his hands over his face. It may be his second marriage proposal, but he was still embarrassed by the way it turned out.
An utter disaster.
Emma stood up and began walking toward Azazel. Without warning, the undead wolf stood. It bumped into Emma, with the girl ending up on its back.
Emma is riding a zombie wolf like a horse.
She clutched the fur on the wolf's neck. She started laughing as the wolf ran around in circles, Emma appearing as if she were riding a bull at a rodeo.
"Yee to the hah!" Emma yelled out with excitement.
Azazel facedpalmed again. Always facedpalming. The people and creatures he met on Terra were something else.
As Emma was disappearing in the distance, she yelled out.
"Yes, I will marry you!"
Azazel's heart fluttered when he heard her yell out the words. He clutched his shirt over his chest and smiled gently.
He could hear Zeus cheering in the background, his voice muffled from his mouth being stuffed with food.
Everything here is better. Maybe I should thank Lucifer for the second chance at life.
