I slowly open my eyes and yawn. I have always been bad with waking up. I struggle to get myself up as I am reminded of the events from the previous night.
As I sit up, I decide to test my power once again to make sure last night was not a dream. I close my eyes, and, using my power, I try to find out the location of people in my immediate vicinity.
...
I can tell my sister is in her room, and my mother in my parents' room. So last night really was not a dream. I really do have a limitless power. I rejuvenate my body with my power to get rid of the lingering sleepiness lest I fall asleep again. Using my power for this should be fine.
I get out of bed and get dressed. I have breakfast over at my aunt's and grandma's house and return home.
There are a few days left of my spring break before I have to return to school. Honestly, I doubt time is a limitation for me anymore with my new power. I could stop time for everything but myself, but that is too much. I would rather keep my powers somewhat distant from my regular life.
That being said, I go back to my room and go back to my closet door. It remains open from the previous night. I close the door and using the door as a medium, I connect the space between my room and my newly created subspace.
I open the door and am greeted with the endless sight of grass, as far as the eye can see. I step through the door and close it. I disconnect the two spaces and the door disappears. To separate my regular life from my life with these powers, I should make this subspace disconnected from time, so that whenever I enter this place, no time will pass in the outside world. This way, I can spend as much time as I want in my subspace.
Currently, the time in my subspace and the time in the outside world are the same, probably because I imagined my subspace to be that way. With no further delay, I separate the time of my subspace from the time of the outside world. Of course, there is no fancy magic circle or any visual effect. When I use my power, it just happens when I want it to. It is somewhat anticlimactic how I can do so many things that would be cool without them looking cool at all.
Well, I now have my own personal world that I can do anything with. I can make anything I want here. With that said, the first thing I want is my own personal house.
I look at the area of land in front of me and start imagining the kind of house I want. Right now, I am aiming for a simple log house, but I can always change it later. I will create it section by section so that I can create a house that I like.
According to the image in my head, I start with a square base, then the outside walls while leaving space for a front deck, the door, a slanted roof, supporting pillars, the railing on the deck, and steps leading up to the deck.
Everything is as I imagined it. The logs of my house interconnect with each other to create a beautiful log house.
I walk up the steps, open the door, and walk inside the currently empty house. I create a ball of light to illuminate the inside as I work. Then, I create a flat ceiling above me, which forms an attic and hides the outer roof from view. Then, I start sectioning off the rooms with walls: 2 adjacent bedrooms, a closet adjacent to each bedroom, a spacious bathroom, a living room by the front door, a kitchen, a dining room, and a study.
Next comes the furniture. In the living room, I create a few couches. In each bedroom I create a bed and a nightstand. In each closet, I make a basic dresser and a few rods for hangers. In the bathroom, I create a sink, a toilet, a shower, and a bath. To get each of these devices working, I use my power to make what can only be described as enchantments.
Enchanting is casting magic that lasts for a period of time, conversely to an instant effect. I made enchantments before when I made my soul indestructible in case my body died. I would say that enchanting is similar to programming. I can make a constant effect that lasts forever, or I can have an effect that activates based on a condition.
So for the sink, the shower, and the bath, I have water flow out of the faucet at a rate proportional to the state of their respective handles. Additionally, I set the temperature of the water to match what the current user likes. Lastly, I make the water have enhanced cleaning effects.
Some people may wonder why I don't just use my power to make myself clean, instead of using water. The reason is less about making myself clean, and more about what makes me feel good as a person. Daily showers are an essential part of my life that I am not willing to part with. On the other hand, I could do without washing clothes. I am perfectly fine with using my power to make my clothes clean and smell nice, instead of putting them in a washing machine, waiting for a while, transferring them to a dryer, and waiting for another while.
With 3 of the 4 appliances in the bathroom done, I turn my attention to the toilet. I reckon I don't need the toilet as I could get rid of any waste my body makes with my power, but I figure I should make one anyway. I don't think I'm the only person in the world who finds having to go to the restroom bothersome.
For now, I set an enchantment on my body to get rid of any waste my body makes, and to make my body function normally without having to expel waste. After all, I don't know if getting rid of waste automatically will have adverse effects on my body.
Moving on from this subject, I set to work with the toilet. When the handle is pulled, I make the toilet get rid of any waste and replace the water inside. There is no need to make the toilet flush.
Finally done with the bathroom, I move onto the kitchen. I line the walls of the kitchen with a few counters, an oven, a stove, and a microwave. These are all the kitchen appliances I have back home, and I don't think I am the most knowledgeable when it comes to large cooking appliances. I also don't see any need to use my power to impart that knowledge into my head. I can make new appliances in the future if needed.
In the kitchen, I also make a large storage cabinet which I fill with various sized pans, pots, spatulas, plates, bowls, cups spoons, forks, and knives. These are all I can think of at the moment. I close the cabinet and move on to making the kitchen sink. I copy the enchantment of the bathroom sink and make a few adjustments. Depending on if the user needs the water to cook or clean, I have the faucet either output water with enhanced cleaning effects, or water that is good for cooking and drinking. I don't think eating food made with enhanced cleaning water would be very safe, so this is a necessary change for the kitchen sink. I could also just use my power every time I need safe drinking water, but having a faucet that does this just seems better.
I continue on with the rest of the house. In the dining room I make a medium-sized table with chairs around it, all made of wood like the rest of the house. In the study I create a large desk with shelves and a comfortable chair. Lastly, I cover the floors in the bedrooms, the living room, the study, and the hallways in carpet.
With this, my house is almost finished. After exiting my house, I turn around and gaze at it. One concern that I had was that the house could be damaged, especially since I created it out of wood. So, I make everything that is made of wood fireproof and waterproof. Additionally I make the wood indestructible and have a light sheen on every wood surface. Now, it is as if everything made of wood has been polished.
I take a moment to admire my beautiful creation.
...
Now that I am finished with the house, I notice that the land around my house looks bland. Currently, the landscape in my subspace is of a flat grassy plain, but I want to change this.
Off in the distance, I form hills out of the ground, and trees pop up sporadically across the land. Additionally, I roll the ground so that it is not completely flat. What I have created is a large, circular valley with my house in the center, with rolling plains surrounding my house.
I am satisfied with this for now, so I turn my attention towards something else. From the front of my house, I make a straight, stone path extending a short distance away. At the other end of the path, I make a circular clearing and cover the ground with stone. In the center, I make a door facing towards my house. I make the door unmovable and unbreakable, standing rigid without any support. This will be the door that I walk through to enter and exit this subspace, but I have not connected it to the real world yet.
This place will be the first place that greets me when I enter my subspace, so I want to decorate it accordingly. I am thinking of making something similar to what fantasy worlds make around teleportation gates or portals. I create four narrow pillars on the edge of the stone circle at equal intervals northwest, southwest, northeast, and southeast to the door. For now, I create nice-looking, wavy gold lines from the bottom to the top of each pillar as well as a golden sphere on the top of each pillar. I think this looks good for now.
