Currently, Adam stood inside a glowing magic circle with his teacher, Mr. Ralph.
Opposite him stood his mother, Coralith Banehorn, wearing a simple yet elegant long white dress. Two belts wrapped around her waist accentuated her slim figure. Her red eyes, framed by bluish-white hair, contrasted beautifully with her thick horns tipped in red. Despite being a mother to many, she looked as youthful as a twenty-year-old, thanks to the longevity and vitality of dragonkind.

Beside her was his father, Chronarch Banehorn. He had short black-and-blonde hair, piercing blue eyes, and no visible horns. Dressed in a sophisticated black suit with gold accents, he exuded an aura of authority and power. Both parents looked remarkably young for beings thousands of years old, their timeless appearances a testament to their dragon heritage.

They were here to see their son off to training, they were used to it since every one of their children would have to go down the island to train. Of course, as the loving parents they were, they went down to eliminate all monsters that would pose danger to their son even though there was someone powerful with him, they only let monsters that their son would be able to eliminate live. However, they also had to let monsters much stronger than Adam live since he had to fight monsters stronger than him to gain experience and knowledge about fighting stronger foes, its training after all.
"Take care, my child!"
Adam looked at his mother who was waving her hands around, she had a smile on her face, however, he could see some sadness present in her eyes. But he ignored it and simply waved his hands to her.
"I will!"
He looked at his father who was just smiling at him, he knew his father wasn't good with goodbyes so he also waved at him.
"Goodbye, father."
His father smiled at him, "Don't act like we won't see each other again!"
Although he said that, their meeting wouldn't be a soon one as Adam had to train his swordsmanship until he was 16 years old. Now he was 5 years old, meaning he would have to train for 11 years along with his teacher.
"Take care of Adam, okay." Coralith said to Mr. Ralph which the latter simply nodded.
"Yes, your empress."
"Umu!" She seemed satisfied with his answer.
With a final wave to his parents, the magic circle activated, engulfing Adam and Mr. Ralph in a blinding light. Adam had to close his eyes against the brightness!
When he opened them again, they stood in a lush, green forest. Enormous trees towered overhead, their thick trunks surrounded by dense underbrush. The forest was spacious, allowing ample room for movement.
Wings imerge behind his back, he flapped his wings making him fly upwards. His plan was simply, he would go up to observe their surroundings high up in the air.
Upon coming out of the forest, all he saw were trees all around him, however, far into the distance he could see a lake with open fields surrounding it. Far beyond to its right was a desert that seemed to have no end in sight. On the lakes left were more trees, although Adam knew there were more lakes around, he could not see them since the trees were too big to notice them, he could only see the lake since its surroundings were open.
However, the lake was far away from where he was so he observed the area where they stood. Looking around, something caught his attention, it was the entrance of a cave, its entry was guarded by small green creatures which Adam assumed were goblins.
"Have you seen something yet?!" Mr. Ralph's voice called up to him.
"There's a cave this way!" Adam pointed towards it.
"Alright, come down and let's go!" Mr. Ralph instructed
Adam flew down and landed next to Mr. Ralph's side, then they began walking towards the cave.
"What else did you see near the cave?" Mr. Ralph asked. Adam looked up at him but his teacher was still looking up ahead, so he also turned to look forward.
"There were two goblins guarding the entrance." He answered. However, he didn't stop and continued talking, "However, from what I can tell, there may be some other goblins patrolling near the surroundings of the cave so we should look out for them." As he finished speaking, he tilted his head to the side just in time to dodge an arrow that flew past and struck the ground behind him
He quickly turned towards the source, spotting a goblin perched on a tree branch. Noticing he had been discovered, the goblin tried to reload his bow with another arrow but before he could do it, something immediately pierced his head, then the goblin fell down to the ground making a *thud* sound.
"What a weak fella," Adam commented as he approached the fallen goblin.
What did you expect from a mere goblin?" Mr. Ralph replied, unfazed. "Goblins are but mere ants before dragons."
"I guess….something." Adam had read too many things about goblins, he had expected something different, but alas, he was disappointed. Goblins are mere ants after all.
"Don't worry, the goblin king might satisfy you."
"What's special about a goblin king?" Adam asked since from what he read, goblin kings are old creatures that might die from just a touch, they usually are the ones ordering and they just lay back while the other goblins do the work for them.
"Of course, goblin kings are different from normal goblins," Mr. Ralph explained. "After all, a king should have the strength to become a king."
"What's the difference between them?"
"The most noticeable difference is their appearance. Normal goblins are small, ugly, weak, and not very intelligent. However, goblin kings are quite the opposite. They are as tall as a human, much stronger, more intelligent, and even more attractive, except for their green skin. Goblin queens share these superior traits as well." They already arrive at the goblin body when Mr. Ralph finishes talking.
Adam look down at the goblin with a hole on its forehead. The goblins' appearance wasn't anything grand, it's only wearing cloth that covered its private parts, he had no sort of armor, the only thing he had was a wooden bow and some wooden arrows for protection.
As for what was the thing that pierced the goblins head, it was but a mere rock Adam had kicked off the ground! It was the easiest way he had to kill someone who was above ground, and it proved to be effective.
"These should be useful." He said while taking the bow and arrows from the goblins body, he found nothing else valuable from the goblins body so he burned it.
After that, he and his teacher continued to walk towards the cave as if nothing had happened.
