A few days went by and the campaign against the Monster Hordes finally reached its climax.
All five fortresses had been destroyed. The monster armies had been pursued and eliminated across Estal and turned their population into a negligible number.
The main expedition forces and its auxiliaries gathered at Forever Fall, knocking at the door of the Goblin King that was unfortunately crowned because they failed to attack the main lair within the set time because they were delayed by the fortresses.
The crowning of the Goblin King was in fact an inevitable outcome because to prevent it during when Elder Tale is a game. They have to attack all five Orc Generals within 5 in-game days which was an impossible deadline because of how difficult and time consuming it is to raid all sub bosses scattered across a wide area which at that time have the Town Portal to make travel much easier. But at present, without Town Portal, it really is impossible to kill the Goblin King before it's coronation.
Subsequently to the Goblin King's crowning, the surviving Monsters gain significant Buffs that make them much more difficult to kill and not only that, but they are also churning out more mobs even faster.
Thankfully, due to Shiroe's insight. They had prioritized clearing the mobs instead of rushing to Forever Fall or they had to also deal with enhanced monsters wreaking havoc across Eastal while attacking Forever Fall. So, the monsters they have to deal with are now only concentrated inside the area of Forever Fall.
The major Battle Guilds along with Ainz's is marching into the depth of Forever Fall to take on the Goblin King. Meanwhile The other lesser guilds and players follow the lead of Morgan and Sirin, attacking the Monsters scattered across the map area of Forever Fall.
Ray yawned as he watched the battle from above the sky, on the railing of the Wind Emperor's front deck.
"You look bored, Father. Why don't you join the fight?" Abby sits beside Ray, dangling her legs while also watching the beautiful explosions of lights from skill usages below on the ground.
"That's even more boring… like they aren't even a challenge at all." Ray replied with a grumpy look.
Even if he limits his power to join the fun. He is so powerful physically and magically that no matter how he tries to hold back. He would still one-hit-kill everything. Hence why he is a spectator.
Suffering from success indeed.
Anyway, Abby also got bored of the battle because she had no interest in them in the first place. Aside from the fact she is the key and lock, the vessel of power for Ray, Abby is just your average 12 year old sweet and pure little girl.
Also, Ray partially blamed his boredom on him being too impatient and peeked ahead of time. Then when the time comes, he already knows what's happening. It's like watching a show twice back to back. He would get bored especially when he have photographic memory and superb information gathering ability that watching twice
So, he got bored of this battle already and Abby is on board with him. Then suddenly Abby expressed her desire to meet up with her friends, Nursery Rhyme and Jack. Which she learned about after peeking into the other timeline of Chaldea.
"Good idea. We can adopt Jack too along the way." Ray remembered about the cute murder loli and smiled, reminiscing about old memories.
Also Kama for some reason. Specifically the variant that wear maid outfit. Probably because the criminally lacking of lolis among his rank of maids with Mittelt being the only one and Sakuya technically as she is steadily growing and recently growth past the maximum height to legally qualify as a loli, which commonly is below 140 cm in height.
Anyway, the bored duo decided to leave and bother the people in Chaldea once again. With the frequency of his visits, he might as well be a permanent resident of Chaldea.

In the depth of Forever Fall.
Sat upon the blood soaked throne that is sloppily shaped despite being made of pure gold, is nearly five meters tall of pure muscles. A chiseled green body with ripping muscular body under a tribal armor.
The former Goblin Chieftain and now Goblin Emperor are surrounded with corpses of other Chieftains from other clans that he murdered in his struggle to seize the throne. His body, armor and stone slab-shaped sword are still soaked with blood and gore from his act of murder.
"Somehow, it felt ominous…" Ainz mutters with paranoia and a few dashes of PTSD flaring up while his eyes dart around the room looking for any potential traps or ambushes.
"How come? Everything has been progressing smoothly so far." Rimuru questioned the mental wellbeing of Ainz and really wanted to dissuade him from participating in the raid but Ainz insisted numerous times before. He can't see how he could change Ainz's mind any time soon.
"That's exactly the reason! Everything had been progressing too smoothly! No trolling traps, no ambush, nothing! Nothing is happening…" Ainz gradually lowered his voice and head after shouting for a bit.
At this point, Rimuru is tired of Ainz's traumatic episodes and just wants to get this Mission done with and go back to Jura.
"Anyway, we will deal with the Boss as we had planned." Rimuru turns back and addresses everyone including their companions that they brought along. "Shion, Shalltear, Alb—" Rimuru paused when a black blur speed past him.
While still staring at the crowd, Rimuru immediately identified who is missing without even needing Great Sage's help.
"Goddammit! Kiritooooo! Stick to the fucking plan you suicidal lil' shit."
"Nah! I'd win! Kekekehahahaha! First come first serve bitch!" Kirito replied back with voice brimming with excitement as he charged at the Goblin Emperor with wide grin and eyes only at the Goblin King as he swung his blades with finesse and grace very few could claim they can achieve.
"Grrr! Attack!" Rimuru ordered reluctantly as order fallen apart because of Kirito. But it is not unsalvageable yet. In fact, Kirito can act as wild as he want if what Ray informed him is true about Kirito's swordsmanship.
The Goblin Emperor stood up from his throne when approached by Kirito and lifted the sword that is basically just a big stone slab shaped like a sword and swung it effortlessly. Like a viper, the gigantic sword swiftly swung down vertically, trying to cleave Kirito in half but the sword maniac simply cross his blade with his Night Sky Sword on the bottom, catching the strike using [Cross Guard] and successfully block the slash but not without rattling his bones and make them felt like his bones in his arms turn into dust.
Embolden by his successful block, Kirito leap in and slip through the guard of the Goblin Emperor while its trying to make another slash but interrupted by Shalltear's lance stab and a few more attacks from the others. Kirito unleash a flurry of sword skills from behind the Goblin Emperor, making combos after combos without stop, each skill increases his momentum, his speed and agility until he was basically afterimages, slashing and slashing without stop.
The Chat Group members noticed Kirito and watched with their jaw agape while thinking a similar thought, 'Did he actually get that strong?' They wonder as Kirito did carved out a big chunk of HP with his sword slash barrage. They thought since Kirito main gimmicks is speed due to being Sword Dancer, his attacks will mostly be shallow and have advantages in number of strikes than damage per strikes. At this rate, Kirito might as well could possibly solo the Goblin Emperor.
But then a full bar of HP of the Goblin Emperor's 50 HP bars was depleted. The Goblin Emperor slammed his sword to the ground impaling with a big impact and then lift it's head up and roared loudly, inflicting Debuffs and Paralysis Debuff on everyone nearby. Especially Kirito.
The Goblin Emperor then grab it's sword and grinned sadistically at the paralyzed Kirito.
"Fu—" Kirito couldn't even finish his curse before his world turn dark.
"Counter attack type ability? That's annoying." Rimuru noted but not before seeing Kirito get killed.
