"Hmm... Is that all?"
"..." Luxion remained silently still, as I inquired about Olivia' circumstances because of her complexion I saw today.
"Master, assuming you haven't meddled with my artificial intelligence," he paused for a moment, a thoughtful silence enveloping him as if he were contemplating something profound.
"Assuming that you could..." This bastard!
I felt an uncontrollable urge to lunge at him, my hand twitching as if yearning to make contact with his face.
He rotated himself vertically, dodging eye contact with me, he continued.
"You did mention coming to her aid in dire situations, Correct? Because I'd hate to think my circuits are misfiring, even then, leaving a damsel in distress seems rather unchivalrous, even for you. Or perhaps you have already decide to conveniently forget about it?"
What's with this guy? I couldn't help but wonder about his sudden interest.
Wasn't he the one who considered the new man kinds as just a pests that corrode the planet?
Intrigued by his character development, I responded, "Correct."
"And you still planned to let it slide, even after I reported her predicament?"
"Also correct."
Receiving my reply, the lenses within Luxion rotated eerily, almost as if attempting to discerm my intentions.
Yet, regardless of whether he felt compelled to assist her or not, I find no immediate reason to intervene just yet.
But to moistened some of his curiosity I mused, "Quite the spectacle, isn't it? So damn entertaining... for the most part and downright hilarious mostly."
Shifting gears I continued, "about that girl Stephanie though, her insecurity is something else, isn't it?" I probed.
"I can't fathom bullying someone over a simple conversation with your fiancé...
"Part of me pitied Brad for having such a fiancée, while another part thought he deserved it for being such a foolish prick." I remarked, with a hint of disdain in my voice.
"Anyway!" I exclaimed, my voice rising with a cheerful emphasis to shake off the awkward topics.
"I believe we still have about two weeks until we start dungeon diving, so we still have plenty of time to fix her, or deal with her for that matters."
"Do you not see her as a human, Master?"
"Hmm... why would you think that?" I asked playfully.
"I'm quite hurt by your accusation, luxion. If you can not explain yourself properly, I might just cry." I continued in a deliberate, sorrowful tone, as I wiped off a ghost tears from my eye.
"Please dont make such a joke, master..."
"kuku..." Is this guy feeling remourseful? for real? Thats new!
"You? feeling something? Utterly ridiculous!"
Hmm.... I guess not... and why the hell is my hand quivering again? Surely I am not annoyed, am I?
Looking at the ball, I thought, wouldn't it be just absolutely fantastic if someone decided to use it, the pinnacle of AI sophistication, as a frisbee?
That would be terribly disrespectful to this loyal Ai of mine!
"Ha ha ha ha." I laugh, wide eyes like a lunatic, trying to calm the wild ideas that pops up in my mind.
Whether or not he realise my intention, he continued anyway, "It's been almost a month since she was bullied. On one hand, you seem to care a lot about her, judging by your orders to gather the weaknesses of the nobles around her..."
He paused, looking at me contemplatively, "But on the other, your lack of immediate action suggests otherwise. It appears as if your affection leans more towards seeing her as a pet?"
"Suppose..." I exaggerated with emphasis.
Tilting my head, swirling the alcohol within my glass, I gently adjust my legs into a comfortable cross.
With an intense voice, "That is the case, hypothetically, just hypothetically speaking... Would you hate serving such a master?"
"Oh, no no no Master, If truly..."
Rolling my eyes, I cut him off, downing my drink. "Hypothetically, as I said... it's just hypothetical."
Ignoring my interruption, not even waiting my statements he persisted, "If that is the case, then it appears you truly are a descendant of the old man kind.
Perhaps you should start a new kingdom to continue the war against the new man kinds.
With an excited metallic voice he continued, "And if you so desire, we can always make a farm for the new mankinds after we won."
"What the hell are you saying?" I thought, staring at him with incredulous eyes.
Does that mean the old man kind saw the new ones only as pets?
Of course, I wouldn't treat Olivia as a pet, but Luxion's words, stated as if he would really do it, made me wonder if they really thought of them as pests.
"kuku.... Is that a genuine compliment or a backhanded one?" I probed, intrigued.
"I see no reason why it cannot be both."
"Ha ha ha ha," I laughed, twisting my body to crack my muscles, and the veins that had popped all over my body.
"Hah... To answer your previous question though..." I paused, looking at the cresent moon. "I'm just waiting for a perfect time."
"Perfect time, you say, Master?"
"Yeah. If I recalled correctly, that girl, Olivia tends to show her annoying side when someone she likes is with another girl. You see, I absolutely loathe restrictions," I explained, pouring another drink.
"I am not obligated to help her or be with her, you know? There are plenty of gorgeous women out there." I said, emphasizing each word.
"Whatever I do, I want her to know that I do it because I want to, not because I owe it." That's right, I have no intention of acting like the original protagonist.
Also, I need more time before I draw stephanie's attention towards me.
I can not destroyed her house alone after all, but I kept quite on that part, since he will most likely claim one order is enough for a small county like them.
"I see, Master. Allow me to concisely list out what you have just states," Luxion said, gesturing with his lens.
"Go on." I cocked my head in a gesture of affirmation.
"You're a scumbag who wants to do whatever you desire. You can't stand someone looking down on you or telling you what's wrong or right." He float around like a teacher lecturing a class as he talked.
"So before you ultimately help your love interest, who you want to help but also want to dominate in the not so far future, you wanted her to be thoroughly broken once before you help her, so that she will be absolutely submissive to you in the future, that is the reason you ignore her plea for help... Am I missing something, Master?" Luxion asked, his lens fixed on me.
He continued, matter of factly, "So from what I deduce so far, I realize that not only you are a lazy, prideful, arrogant and stubborn, but you are also extremely mentally unstable, am I correct?"
"Hmm..." Looking down, I played with the edge of the desk, contemplating Luxion's words. "It sure feels like you're just pouring down your frustration on me, or am I mistaken?"
"Master, not only did you order me to keep an eye on the girl named Olivia and Clearice, you told me to notify you if something terrible happened. But not only did you ignore it, you also seem to enjoy her suffering," Luxion accused.
The grey ball descends in perfect parallel to my face, "How dare you expect me to be joyful, when I'm being used when the work is completely unecessary?"
"Ha ha ha... You sure seem to hate the new blood in my veins," I chuckled, finishing my drink.
"Anyway, my intuition tells me that Deirdre will approach me tomorrow. I need to be thoroughly prepared."
"You truly are shameless, Master, to call my information your 'intuition,'" Luxion taunted.
"Fu fu fu... You belong to me anyway, so what if I claim you as my intuition?" I retorted, teasing him with great interest.
For the first ever time in our conversation, Luxion genuinely seemed at a loss for words.
Before he could reply, I changed the subject. "What about that thing I asked you?"
"Yes, I already prepared, Master."
"Good. She will look good with it." I mutterd to myself.
"Huuuuaaaaaah... I'm sleepy," I yawned, feeling a slight dizziness as I stood up.
As I headed towards my bathroom to wash up, I glanced at the katana, which was almost finished transforming.
It no longer needs to be take care of like a fragile objects...
"Hehe."
"Master, if I were born human, I would never be within 20 meters radius of you," Luxion remarked dryly.
Leaving behind the sarcastic AI, I went to wash myself while singing all my favorite songs, ready to drift into sleep.
