Ellianor's eyes twitched in his lip, as he felt a vacancy within his soul, a strange vacancy inside his chest. It was strange in many forms.
His soul was there, but it was far away from his body. His body was on the bed, but it felt numb as if floating in a cloud. His mind rested, but it felt disturbingly awake.
All three states of being divorced from each other as he slept. All three going their ways without his consent. In the middle of the "night", he was alone.
Even the faint connection to Kissenn was cut at that moment. The emptiness shrouded him. It sought to claim him, to bring him home, to where he should have never left.
It hummed silently, to not disturb or startle him in his sleep, and to keep all states of his "self" as dormant and far away from each other as it could be.
If he suddenly woke up, it would have been problematic for it, and they wanted to welcome him gently, and not drag him to the depths.
