Kissenn's heart raced against her chest, the flames cauterizing her wounds and stopping the bleeding, but that did not stop the flames from exiting her body.
An unpleasant yet welcoming sensation. It made her body light as a feather, but at the same time, it called her to a deep, deep sleep.
A want to plunge to the deepest sea, and lay at its bottom.
Her very soul felt light as the flames swept out of her body. Kissenn smacked her lips, her hallowed gaze upon the beast that started to move again.
Twin blades were painted red with flames.
The fire connected to it, overlaying over the heated metal to form a blade of fire, the flames joined together like in a blowtorch.
The abomination dragged its body, towards them.
As fast as she moved before, she advanced against the monster. Kissenn spun in the air, one blade close to her, and the other held in a reverse grip outstretched.
Like a miniature of a tornado, her flames and blades clashed against the monster.
It severed its upper limbs, as a grotesque roar left its many mouths. More limbs sprung out of its mass of bodies, and it clashed against her blades.
Kissenn strained her lips in a frown, the strength of the monster's attack enough to throw her further into the air.
Almost against the ceiling, the monster tried to start another onslaught of attacks as it did against Ellianor, but Kissenn knew better than to let it attack.
The flames around her body expanded in an explosion.
The limbs were repelled, another roar left the monster's mouth, and before it could continue, she descended upon the abomination.
Like a bird of prey, she fell upon its body, talons of flame pierced the corpse and the corruption holding it together.
Kissenn slashed wildly, the flames spread across the monster's body, as it roared, but it would not let her attack it freely, blades of tentacles sprouting from the corpses and corruption, aimed at her.
It was fast, faster than she anticipated.
One of those blades made another slash across her face, as one tentacle pierced her knees and fermors, and more pierced her shoulders and elbow in an attempt to stop her.
The creature attacked so fast that it almost was as if the entire body was one sensory organ able to respond to threats at the same time.
A sharp pain echoed from her limbs, the monster sprouting more tentacles to pierce her body.
Kissenn felt the overwhelming pain as burning corruption tried to overtake her body, making her join it.
Her lips were painted with a smile, the racing of her heart skyrocketing in a way that it felt as if it would rip out of her chest.
A burning urge for violence and to make that thing pay for its sins, make it pay for the damage done to her and Ellianor.
Her gaze intensified on the best, as flames exploded from her body again, this time, the flames were hungry.
Like a sentient swarm of locusts, the flames burned through the tentacles and back of the monster. It devoured corruption and flesh and bone.
The monster roared in pain, a gap for Kissenn to exploit. She jumped from the beast's body and raised her blades.
The fire overlayed on the twin swords projected forward, and she swung it towards the beast.
The blades of fire were shot forward, and it cut across the beast's body, separating it into three distinct parts, the monster roared and tumbled to the ground, fire devouring it. While it was down, Kissenn was sure it was not done.
From one of the parts, the least touched by the flames, the corruption ran to, abandoning the other parts and leaving it to be undone, the mess of body parts splattered across the floor. Aform exploded from the mass of corpses and corruption.
Another creature, but humanoid, with wings made of hands and fingers, and crude imitations and twists from a human's anatomy, with guts hanging, and exposed flesh and bone for its limbs.
There were no eyes, or mouth either, as if the corruption was overcompensating for it in an attempt to get rid of its weak spots. Kissenn gave no time for the new abomination to think.
One of her blades clashed against its mockery of a sword, while the other tried to cut through its whole body in one fell swoop, but it was blocked by the monster's hand, struggling to keep the blade at bay with only its hands.
The monster repelled Kissenn's by pushing its blade, and wave of the goo that composed corruption against her, in a childish attempt to quench her flames.
The wave of corruption threw back Kissenn, but it did naught to damage her flames.
'Assumed a humanoid form because the other one was too big, and would sustain too much damage.' The corruption was not concentrated in one small container, rather than the mess of corpses.
While it made it a smaller target, it also made it easier to damage it once a hit had landed.
'You also sacrificed raw power for speed.' Kissenn had to admit it was a bad idea in that one circumstance.
The bigger form could take more punches because of its mass, and the way it used the corpses.
While better at dueling, in theory, such a smaller form was not fit to withstand the damage Kissenn was able to ditch.
Their battle restarted on a whim, their blades clashing while the monster kept its awareness over Kissenn's second blade, heated metal and bone sword faced against each other as sparks flew.
The monster unleashed another blade from its arms, using the bones and flesh there to spring it forward, Kissenn smiled and moved to the side, letting the blade pass through the hole in her shoulder.
Before the monster could change the path of its second blade, Kissenn moved her sword against its right thigh and left "feet", separating both from the rest of its body as the flames cauterized the corruption, leaving the monster open to another attack.
