She stood in the back of his mind watching as things unfolded before Ellianor's eyes, the soldiers rushing to their stations and eating their food like animals, knowing that time could not be wasted.
She licked her lips. Ellianor rose from his seat. A deep sigh came out of his mouth. 'Things are escalating for the worse, huh?'
If only the scales were tipping to their sides, but the universe was determined to push them against a wall. Ellianor knew what he had to do: push the wall back, and harder than the world could push them.
He walked out of the mess hall, his orange eyes shone defiantly. He returned to the outside of the fortress, ready to be assigned to draw more carts inside the fortress, bringing in more raw material from the many trenches dug before him.

On the top of the fortress' watch towers, a small figure sat over a ledge, gazing upon the workers digging trenches on the large chunks of metal plates.
