Kissenn could not sleep. Her eyes were heavy-lidded, but her brain refused to shut down completely.
She missed Ellianor. She missed her friend so damn much, but she could do nothing about the loneliness she felt. They were assigned different missions with different orders, they were doing their part.
For this reason, Kissenn was annoyed and lost her sleep, but failed to find a true justification for getting angry at Bill's choices. They broke their forces on roughly even contingents, but Ellianor had an advantage because of the bitch in his head.
She could rest assured that her friend would be well guarded and taken care of, and yet Kissenn failed to calm her own heart and mind.
She stuck by the side of Antonio, acting as an impromptu bodyguard, even without the need for one. Their enemies were defeated, for now, so Kissenn was merely playing the role.
