Those maybes meant nothing, as she rested atop of him, alongside Jello, like in a pile. He was pinned to his bed by his concerned friends, determined not to let him move without their watch.
They treated him as if he was a sassy lost child who would get into a problem at the first opportunity, to be fair, that was how his luck tended to work out, but he did not chase those problems by option, rather, they were drawn to him.
