The doctor who had taken its oath screamed inside Jello, as the boy relented, holding back his tears as the fear of death settled in.
He would not live for long, but they would not allow him to suffer for however much time he had left. They weren't that cold.
Jello did its best to patch up the boy, its tentacles gently cleaning the pustules and the puss of his face, as Ellianor did the same on the other side.
The boy endured the pain, small twitches on the intact half of his face. Ellianor could see how much pain the boy was in, as he had some run-downs with death that left him a mess.
A child was enduring such pain. His heart clenched, as a child should not be exposed to that level of cruelty and damage, but he could do nothing about it but help the boy endure just a little longer.
"Say… how is the life as a guard? In an under village?" The boy tried to chit-chat, to bring his mind out of the pain as the duo took care of his damaged face.
