And even though he could reach said clouds in a matter of seconds if he wished to, his eyes were filled with a glint of longing.

He couldn't help but chuckle sarcastically at the direness of his own situation, but he found hope in the fact that he still drew breath.

He missed his family so much that he saw their visages in the shapes of the clouds.

He covered his face with his palm, his heart filled with regret and worry for the ones he loves.

He took a deep breath to quell his emotions and removed his palm from his face.
