Chapter 7 - Chapter 7: Graviton Bombs, Railguns, And What It Truly Means To Have Complete Trust In Your Sibling(s)

Date: July 18, 2009

It was just a normal day for the two of us.

Well, it was about as normal as things could possibly get when you are trying not to get yourself injured, or worst case killed.

"And isn't that the truth regarding this, huh viewers?...Oh right...Keiko here, sorry about that...I didn't mean to startle you all with such an out of the blue fourth wall break...But anyway viewers...I figured that I would take this current moment, to just let you all know..."

"Hey Keiko?...Not a good time to be talking to the viewers...*Misaka proceeds to say this to me, which winds up catching me completely off guard*"

"Uh M-Misaka?...Since when have you been able to break the fourth wall?...*I, now realizing what Misaka had just done, proceed to say this statement, with somewhat of a look of startled shock on my face*"

"Uh Keiko, didn't you mention back in chapter four that you already knew that I could do this?...*Misaka proceeds to say this to me, while giving me the sort of expression, that basically tells me that she knew exactly what it was that I had said, during my fourth wall break back in chapter four*"

"Yes I did Misaka...but that was sort of more of an educated inference, then anything else...I just didn't realize that it was actually true...*I proceed to say this to Misaka, as my expression then proceeds to soften a little*"

"Okay...so viewers...what do you say that we get on with the chapter now...right Keiko?...*Misaka proceeds to say this to the viewers, while giving me an expression to let me know that now would be the best time to join in with helping do this*"

"Right Misaka...and so viewers...from the both of us, let us now proceed with the current chapter...*I proceed to say this, while smiling with both of my eyes closed, and my head, tilted to one side, in a very cute looking manner*"

Anyway, back to the current situation. Which was compounded by the fact that after me and Misaka, had run into Touma at the mall. Which was apparently named Seventh Mist. Which was after a series of events had lead to us winding up there with Uiharu.

However, it was when a girl, who had accompanied Touma to the mall, came to Uiharu. Who was for some reason, holding a stuffed animal, that someone had told her to give to Uiharu. Only all for the stuffed animal to start imploding in on itself all of the sudden.

And although Uiharu then tried to quickly do her best, in order to toss the imploding stuffed animal, as far away as possible.

Misaka, who somehow knew, with seeing all of this play out, that Uiharu's attempted throw, wasn't going to be enough to get it out of range. But, while Misaka fumbled for her arcade coin, in a desperate attempt to fire her Railgun, and get the imploding graviton bomb as far out of the mall as possible. She wound up dropping her arcade coin in her haste. And as the arcade coin fell to the ground of the mall, it wound up spinning over itself a couple of times, before finally coming to rest on the floor of the mall with a soft metallic clanking sound.

It was then that I realized, that unless I did something, and did it quickly, this would more then likely, wind up ending very very badly.

So, after taking a deep breath, I gently reached into my skirt pocket, pulling out one of the many arcade coins that lay there.

I then held the arcade coin between two of my fingers, concentrating as I did so, as electricity started to course through my body and up my arm that held the coin, and into my hand. And while I once again started to envision the familiar two electricity lashed rails, extending out into infinity in my mind.

I then, without flipping the coin this time, just fired towards the imploding stuffed animal, and sending it out one of the windows of the mall.

Unfortunately, it my railgun didn't wind up sending it out far enough. And when it imploded, the shockwaves that it sent out, caused enough damage to blow out all of the windows on several of the floors of the mall, and also damage a bit of the buildings outer structure.

And some of the shockwaves, had also sent some of the blast back through the broken windows. That were on the floor that the imploding stuffed animal had been sent out from. Which caused me to brace myself slightly, as a bit of dust, and debris, was then blasted back through the broken windows, and back towards me, Misaka, Uiharu, and Touma. Which wound up blinding us all temporarily. But, it was once the dust had settled, that I was once again able to see clearly.

"Oops, that did a lot more damage then I expected it too," I thought to myself, as a bead of sweat found its way down one side of my face.

However, as I turned around to face Misaka, to see if she and Uiharu were alright, and to make sure that they didn't get hurt by the blast from the graviton bomb, that I once again saw Touma holding out his right hand.

This sent a shocked expression across both me and Misaka's face. "I've said it before Touma, and I'm going to say it again, you are just full of surprises, aren't you?" I thought to myself.

However, it was as the graviton bomb had gone off and caused the damage to the outside of the mall building, that a boy wearing glasses, with a white collared dress shirt, and wearing headphones, smirked, and then turned and walked away, and out of sight, and down an alley.

A little later, in a nearby alley. Misaka had just punched the kid responsible for the bombing in the face, after he had explained why he had been doing the graviton bombings, and why it was just an excuse for him to hurt people.

And, not surprisingly, this had angered me as well, which caused me to punch him as hard as Misaka had done. Because no one puts my sister in harms way, and doesn't expect to pay for it.
