**3rd person POV**
That night lots of nexus stones were sold in different shops all across El Dorado city. Though no one knew it was the same person selling them. The next morning Adam was woken up by a pre set alarm.
'Dammit, only three hours of sleep' he cursed. 'I shouldn't really have spent the whole night running across the city, but looking at the over a hundred million credits in my account made my last night's crusade worth it. What's a little sleep deprivation when poverty has broken up with me' he thought.
He's never had credits as much as this, heck the most he's had at a time is just a little over five thousand and that's his savings of two years. So his net worth changing from five thousand to over a hundred million overnight was exhilarating to say the least.
Make no mistake, a hundred million credits was nothing in the grand scheme of things, it's just like becoming from poor to slightly less poor, a hundred million nexus stones, now that's wealth, but he knows he's still far away from that level of wealth. And a single young master could just squander ten times that in the spur of a moment.
Shaking his head, he stood up and went to the bathroom, about ten minutes later he was out. 'Now that I think about it, I should keep more than one pair of extra clothes in my storage next time, at the very least five should do' he thought while wearing the same clothes he wore last night. He had to head to the restaurant as breakfast was scheduled for 8pm.
He went out after that without a glance back at the room and headed for the restaurant, all his stuffs were inside his storage as he didn't even bring them out in the first place cause he knew that after going out this morning, he's not coming back.
When he got there, almost all if not all the adventure club members were already there. "You slept in so late, a few minutes more and you would have heard me knocking on your hotel room" Owen said from behind him. "Come on dude, stop sneaking behind me, you almost startled me" Adam responded.
"You said 'almost startled', the keyword being 'almost', with your instinct it's not possible" Owen argued. "Yeah" Adam agreed even though he knew he knew he didn't sense him.
"So why did you get up late?, it's already over twenty minutes past 8pm" asked Owen. "Nothing, maybe it has to do with the fact that I don't have to get up to train" Adam replied while in his mind, 'I spent the better part of last night earning my hard earned money' he mused.
"Well that aside, let's eats, everyone's almost finished" he said gesturing to some of the cadets who had already finished. "Yeah, I'm famished" said Adam. Soon after a heartfelt meal, Luke announced "Guys we're leaving this city by six pm, so you have till six pm to continue where you stopped yesterday" before he continued, "please make sure you're at the rendezvous point before 6pm".
After his little speech, some cadets started to go out while some didn't move and Adam was part of them. "Dude let's go out" said Owen. "Nah am not in the mood" Adam replied. "Why not?" he asked. "Well because I have nowhere to go" Adam replied.
"Oh come on, there are so many places we missed yesterday" he urged. " Nope not now, maybe later but for now am gonna relax here" said Adam. As they kept bantering a few people approached their table, it was lily along with Ashley and Victor.
"Hey Owen, good morning" said lily in a spirited voice. "Oh which god did I offend" Owen muttered. "Good morning" he replied in a reluctant tone. "Do you happen to have something to do" she asked. "Nah I don't think so" he replied.
"Great, then we're going somewhere do you mind following us?" She asked. "I don't knowwww....." he began stressing while glancing at Adam. "Oh don't worry your little friend can tag along" she said as if noticing his hesitation.
'This bitch, who is she calling Little' thought Adam. "Don't worry I have no intention to 'tag along'" instead of Owen it was Adam that spoke.
"What why?" Owen asked. "I've already told you, I don't feel like going anywhere today" he replied. "Let's just go why are you concerned about what a commoner thinks" Victor who looked like he's had enough sneered.
"Victor let the guy some space " Ashley reprimanded but from her eyes, one could tell she didn't really mean it. "Why are you even wasting your time to ask him" he spoke to Lily. 'Bast*rds they're speaking as if am not even here, well this victor guy did say my opinion Is irrelevant.
Owen looked to Adam as if asking if he was sure, Adam simply nodded. "Tsk" Victor clicked his tongue seeing their interaction.
'why does this guy seem to hate me for no reason, no rather than hate it's more of arrogance, as if screaming notice me, and maybe it had to do with the fact that I don't act like how others act when they're before them' Adam mused.
"Okay let's get going" Lily said with a bright smile. And with that they all left the hotel leaving Adam alone in the restaurant. As for Adam, he stayed there till noon, and had lunch before also leaving the hotel, after all the meal was free, it was being sponsored by the academy.
Adam went to the same park that his group spent the better part of two hours in yesterday. He found a place to sit but the moment he sat, his eyes narrowed, 'something doesn't feel right' he thought. He was getting the same feeling he got at the zoo yesterday but mistook it for someone watching him. As he was stuck in his inner monologue, a black film suddenly appeared from the center of the city.
The black film stretched from the center to covering the entire city. "Spacial barrier" Adam muttered in a grim tone.
