In the same forest Somewhere far away from Adam there was a beautiful sparkling mirror like lake.
And by its side stood a silhouette gazing at it's reflection on the surface of the lake.
Looking closer the features of the reflection was one of what could be called a celestial goddess with porcelain white skin, a celestial beauty that could be termed unnatural ,a pair of sparkling amethyst eyes and flowing locks of dark purple hair reaching down to it's waist.
This was none other than the reflection of Aurora De Silva the scion of the great De Silva family of Saturn the sixth planet in the solar system.
Aurora moved away from the lake in slow strides with her purple locks bouncing bouncing with every step.
**Aurora De Silva's POV**
I am different, ever since I knew myself I understood I was different, having awakened my bloodline at birth I was termed as the greatest genius ever seen since the emergence.
Whether it was my bloodline abilities, combat instincts, or other stuff, I was a genius in all.
Growing up I realized nothing really interests me whether it was my status in my family with my grandfather being the patriarch or the other scions of the great families, and am not the type to care about anything I don't find interesting .
It's because of this character of mine people say I think am above everyone but no one dares to say it to my face.
I don't see the point of me coming to this academy as its purpose doesn't have much weight on me.
Am already at peak gold rank and I could enter platinum rank any time I wanted.
Even now I can mop the floor with any student of the academy regardless of first, second or third year, whether they are from the great families or not.
I kept moving leisurely in the forest with any beast unfortunate enough to get within ten meters radius around me getting instantly split in two halves with my spatial blades.
I knew I would get the first rank it wasn't even a competition at this point may be back when I was in iron rank it might have been a challenge.
**3rd person POV**
A young man could be seen running through a forest easily maneuvering around the trees with agile grace.
'It's been almost an hour and I still haven't encountered a participant or are they all biding their time?'.
Just as he was pondering he heard a whooshing sound coming from his right he instantly turned only to see an arrow blitz towards him but then tilt his head sideways barely avoiding the arrow.
'Ambush' he thought.
Not even a moment later three more arrows came at him but this time he merely raised his hands and muttered "repulse" the arrows bounced back to the direction they were fired from at a much faster speed with Adam bolting right behind them.
Reaching where the arrows landed Adam saw a skinny youth shivering with a bow and arrow in each hands.
"Oh so this is where you were shooting from and wait the academy allows weapons?" Adam stated and asked at the same time.
"They a....a...allowed special cases, t..those with non offensive bloodlines", he answered stuttering.
May be still shocked at the fact that his arrows were repelled back.
"I see do you happen to have other weapons besides these?, asked Adam gesturing to the youth's bow and arrow.
'I really need to be more efficient at killing beasts punching till they die is exhausting and takes time' he thought.
"Y..Yes", he answered plucking off a dagger from his belt then gave it to Adam with still shivering hands.
He collected the dagger, it was about twenty cm with double edges and a beautiful design.
Then looking at him, Adam said "it seems its your time to go home".
He then thrust the dagger towards the youth's chest and the moment it pierced him about 2cm he was enveloped in a bright light before disappearing.
'So the safety feature works after all', Adam mused.
To be honest even if he had died Adam wouldn't care much after all had he been slower that first arrow would have killed him.
**Adam Walker's POV**
After eliminating the guy I turned my attention to the smartwatch which glowed and sprung a hologram before a robotic sound echoed throughout the surroundings.
Announcement 2652 participants have been eliminated there are 3000 participants remaining.
I was surprised by the announcement since I was expecting less than that but it kinda makes sense as the forest was too large.
It took me almost an hour to encounter one participant others may have not met any other participants at all.
I then continued to hunt beast to aquire more points as I want to be in the top fifty and I'll most likely not encounter another participant till the exam ends.
**3rd person POV**
Somewhere in a large room or more specifically a hall was filled with multiple holograms showing what could be described as a thick forest, some people were monitoring the holograms.
This year there are a lot of monsters said one of the overseers.
This generation really deserves it's name as the golden generation. Scions of the great, medium and small families and even commoners of this generation are all extremely talented.
Sometimes I do wonder how the children of the big clans and families of every generation seem to be almost the same age do they plan it or something? Another stated not expecting an answer as he was just asking himself.
On one of the holograms was a boy with jet black hair and crimson red eyes facing a beast.
Blood red flames emerged from his arm burning the beast. What remained was a gory black colored monstrosity. All it took was at most three seconds.
On another screen a guy with silver hair and blue eyes was using lightning to instantly pulverize his opponent be they man or beast.
And on one it was just a girl walking leisurely but the thing was there wasn't any beast around her but it was because the moment they get ten meters closer to her they would be split in half by bizzare purple blades appearing in thin air.
