Chapter 38 - Convictions

Kaito's limp form was gently laid on the floor inside the house. Hinata stood up and clapped her hands, illuminating the room with a soft, light blue glow.

The walls lit up from below,

Mizuki's eyes widened in astonishment. "You can't be serious...?!"

Yukiko's face paled, her voice trembling. "It's sorcery?! This can't be real!"

Mizuki smiled reassuringly, tapping Yukiko's shoulder. "Yukiko, chill... it's just technology."

Yukiko's expression turned incredulous. "What... is Technology?! It's sorcery?!"

'Wait she's serious?!' Mizuki thought, her face confused as ever,

Toru approached Yukiko,

'Toru! He's smart he would be able to calm her down '

Toru got to her side and put his hand on her shoulder. "Don't worry, it gets easier seeing sorcery... just relax, it works for us."

Mizuki stared at Toru, shocked. 'Him too?!' she thought.

Hana shook her head, standing beside Mizuki. "Yes, they share a brain cell..."

Mizuki nodded in agreement. "I know, right?!"

Hinata intervened, her voice firm. "Shush, I need to give him medication..." She walked to the cabinet, searching for supplies.

Mizuki persisted, her right hand raised. "Eh, I could take him from your hands, I can heal too..."

Hinata's expression turned stern. "I was ordered to take care of him, it's none of your business."

"He is my business... my teammate, remember?!" Mizuki replied ruthlessly,

"Ugh, I don't have time to argue with you!" Hinata yelled,

"Girls, take them out, please."

Just then, the girls outside were about to enter the house.

"I don't think so," a voice echoed, followed by "Mirror Prism."

A white light shimmered and the three girls stopped, encased in a glass dome, frozen. Riasa walked past the prism, her hair swaying, her bosoms bouncing.

"Riasa!" Hana yelled at the sight of her,

She nodded and leaned on the prism, "I really need to create a better prism next time."

Spotting the group inside, she exclaimed, "Hey guys! What's going on?!" and ran toward them.

Hinata slammed the cabinet door shut, exasperated. "Those girls are useless!"

Then she faced all of them,

"If you want something done you'd better do it yourself" "Dark Swamp," Hinata said, slamming her hand to the ground, and a pond of darkness spread from her hand, resembling a pool of water.

It washed over their legs

"Hey, What do you think you're...?! "Mizuki's voice was cut off as they fell into the abyss.

Riasa stopped, shocked. "What the?!"

Hinata's expression turned cold. "Good riddance!"

As the darkness retracted into her hand, Hinata walked to Kaito, her gaze filled with resentment.

"Tch! Why did it have to be you...?" she muttered, anger lacing her voice. "Why is it you that... I have to marry?!"

Riasa's mind reeled in shock. 'What?! Where did they go?!'

'And if I heard her correctly, she said marry?!'

'Who?! Kaito??' 'What's going on?!'

Hinata turned her cold glare toward Riasa. "If you get in my way, I'll send you where I sent them."

Riasa's eyes blazed with determination. "What did you do to them?!"

Hinata's expression remained icy. "I sent them to my dark space, my pocket dimension."

'Did she say pocket dimension?' Riasa thought, her eyes widening.

Hinata paced with her hand on her chin, her hime-style hair swaying. "Is it really a pocket dimension or...?"

Riasa's thoughts spiraled. 'She has them somewhere under her control?!'

'What's her Climax state?! What kind of element can make her...'

Hinata's gaze snapped back to Riasa. "Well, you understand what I mean... As long as you don't get in my way now... I"

Her expression turned grim, sending a shiver down Riasa's spine.

'I wouldn't want to be there, but the others...' Riasa thought, sweat trickling down her face.

"What would happen to the others?" Riasa asked aloud.

Hinata's smile was laced with menace. "What would happen?! Well, they're there until I let them out, of course."

Riasa's heart sank. 'Meaning she might never let them out!'

Hinata's eyes locked onto Riasa. "So, what will you do about it?"

Riasa hesitated, unsure. 'I could fight her, but I don't know her abilities'

'What she can do next... It'd be a tricky gamble to rush into the fight.'

"I guess I have to..." Riasa said out loud,

Just then, Kaito groaned, rising from the floor.

"What happened?!" he exclaimed, holding his head.

His eyes widened, and he jumped to his feet. "Where's that idiot?! I'll give him a pounding!"

Hinata bowed her head and her voice trailed. "Kaito... He's gone, Master Kaito."

Kaito began to yell. "When he gets back, I'm gonna..." his expression faltered as realization dawned.

"Master?!" Riasa and Kaito exclaimed in unison.

"Who are you calling master?!" Kaito demanded.

Hinata's gaze remained subservient. "You, Master."

Kaito's eyes widened. "Me?!"

"Since you defeated me," Hinata explained, "I'm ordered by the law of my clan to obey you and marry you."

The room fell silent, the weight of Hinata's words hanging in the air.

Kaito's face pale, his voice barely above a whisper. "Since when?!"

Kaito's voice echoed through the room. "Ordered by the law of your clan... Did you just say marry?!"

Riasa's thoughts raced. 'What? Her clan?!'

She intervened, urgency in her voice. "Kaito, she has your friends in a pocket dimension!"

Kaito's eyes widened, confusion and alarm etched on his face. "Marry me? A pocket dimension?!"

Hinata explained calmly, "They were interrupting me while tending to your wounds."

Kaito's gaze turned stern. "So you...?"

"I put them in my pocket dimension, Dark Swamp, Master," Hinata replied.

Kaito's frustration boiled over. "Quit it with the master!! And could you let my friends out, please?!"

Hinata's expression remained serene. "As you wish, Master..."

A wave of dark aura poured from her hand, and the prisoners flew out of the dimension.

Yukiko, Mizuki, Hana, and Toru stumbled to their feet, rubbing their heads.

"Ow, my head," Yukiko complained.

Mizuki massaged her temples. "That place was dark... extremely dark."

"I can guess" Riasa approached the door, relief evident on her face. "Are you guys okay?!" Kaito asked.

Mizuki nodded. "Yeah, we're fine! And I'm going to give her my personal payback!"

Kaito intervened. "Leave it! It's not worth it."

Riasa chimed in, "We came here to drop a report, and we got more than we expected already."

Kaito agreed. "Can we just drop it and leave?"

Hinata bowed. "Very well, Master."

Yukiko and Mizuki exclaimed in unison, "Master?!"

Mizuki's smile turned mischievous. "So, what did you do?"

Kaito's face turned bright red. "It wasn't me!"

Yukiko puffed her cheeks, teasing. "Sure it wasn't!"

Kaito's frustration peaked. "You have got to be kidding me!"

Riasa intervened, walking toward the prism. "I think I should release them now..."
