Café, in a private booth
With the door tightly shut, Jin Meichen's eyes, fierce as a wolf's, glared at Wen Yuan.
Wen Yuan, having removed her duckbill cap, sat down on the sofa, crossed her legs, and fanned herself with the hat. "Got any water? A glass of water would be fine, right? It's free."
"You want to drink water?" Jin Meichen hummed coldly from the corner of her mouth. "There's no free water for someone like you."
So arrogant.
"Okay, what do you want to ask? But let me tell you, I won't answer whatever you ask. If you want my answer, you need to pay a certain fee," Wen Yuan twirled her cap above her head, looking utterly relaxed.
"Who do you think you are? A snitch? A journalist? I warn you, don't think you can intimidate me. Do you believe I'll call the cops right now and have you arrested?" Jin Meichen spoke through clenched teeth, picking up her phone.
"If you want to call, go ahead."
