Manman couldn't care less whether Jiang's mother had slipped away or not, all she could focus on was Peng Fang, who seemed to be severely injured. She was so anxious she was about to cry, and she took out her cell phone to dial 120.
Just as she heard Jiang's mother's footsteps fading away down the stairs, Peng Fang suddenly opened her eyes that had been tightly shut and put a hand up to stop Manman, who was about to make a call, "Sister Manman, I'm not hurt."
Manman was stunned, looking incredulously at her somewhat pale face, "Are you really not hurt?"
"I was just pretending. How could I scare her off if I didn't pretend?" Peng Fang propped herself up from the ground, smiling bitterly.
Jiang's mother was such a crazed person that if she wasn't truly frightened, with just her and Manman, they likely couldn't stop her.
Manman, helping her at her side, didn't dare take it lightly, "You really did fall down. Are you sure you didn't hit your head?"
